AVZ - Cyberpunk Meets Art

AVZ is the brainchild of Hern Worsley, who describes it as a dark cyberpunk facility catering in fashion, audio and visual. I was introduced to this store by Juliet Ceres of Bitter Thorns, who with her unique style seems to lead me to some of the most interesting designers every time I see her.

The fashion at AVZ definitely has a heavy cyberpunk influence, but these are some of the most innovative products I have seen in this genre. Hern says that she aims to create unique, high quality products, and has certainly achieved this goal, with traffic to her store being generated mainly through word of mouth from existing fans. These are definitely items that make you look twice, in an "OMG what are you wearing and where can I get it?" kind of way. AVZ carries a broad range of products that extend beyond the cyberpunk market, with items to enhance your goth, punk or neko wardrobe. Many products are highly customisable, with a range of colour and texture options, or the ability to add your own textures.

Twisted Doll is a 6 piece prim outfit featuring an intricate lace choker and marionette strings.
Oh, and nails through your boobs.........

The Survivor set is strongly post-apocalyptic in style, this is definitely fashion meets art.

This absolutely jaw dropping hair is included in the Survivor set. Not for shrinking violets.

The Mech Stilettos look AMAZING and are colour changing so you can match them to, well, anything. But maybe not that nice dress you just got from Last Call. Worn here with the Punctured Bracers, which ARE literally punctured, as in you can see right through your arm. The Sidebag features a texture changing panel which you can customise with your own textures, just click to cycle through them. And the Tora Horns come with or without ribbons ....... I'm a girly girl so I've gone with the ribbons. The latex catsuit is from KDC of course.

Perhaps the cleverest item at AVZ is the TV Goggles, but still pictures don't do them justice I'm afraid. These come with 2 different sizes included, with one pair set up ready for you to wear, and another to which you add your own pictures. The pictures cycle but are interspersed with static for a great flickering screen effect.

I'm wearing the TV Goggles with Hern's amazing Parallel hair, complete with steel rods and little horns for that industrial but evil look.

There's HEAPS more I could have shown you, but this post was getting a little picture intensive, so go and check it out for yourself here. Have a look at the other designers on site too, for a few treats you won't find elsewhere.

Mercury - Oh, the hype!

Wilhelmena Whitfield is the name on everybody's lips at the moment, with indications that her long awaited fashion house Mercury will be opening soon. Not since the emergence of the Lu Sisters of Paper Couture fame has an unopened store caused so much hype. Mercury has been sitting empty on some prime rental real estate at Mischief Cove for some time now, and has attracted some stalkerish interest.... I thought I'd join in on the hype with a preview of some of the items that will be available following the store's opening at the next Aspire fashion show.

Men's Aviators in Yellow and Black - retro sexy!

More than a man bag - the Mercury Men's Doctor Tote with Zipper

You can see more offerings from Mercury at Shopping Cart Disco and Second Style Fashionista.

Full of Philotic Energy!

Now I know I haven't been out of my trailer in a while, but I have come across something worth stepping over my wife's empty beer cans for. Designer and all-round babe, Aemilia Case, has just opened a new store - Philotic Energy. Aems's other retail endeavors include Brickz pre-fab urban store-fronts and co-ownership of Lemon – Shapes That Won't Leave You Sour! Along with several other projects.

Philotic Energy stocks Aemilia's prim accessories – belts and bags textured with a stunning attention to detail. She has clearly worked very hard on the textures for this Leather Portfolio Bag (shown here in brown but also available in black) and the tiny stitches, perfect zipper and realistic wear marks are the result. Pictured also are the stylishly simple Bar Belt and Dirty Legwarmers.

The Whippet Walkabout is a very cute back-pack with more of Aems's pretty, hand-drawn textures, multiple pockets and flexi accents. I found all of the belts at Philotic Energy to be much easier to fit than most other belts that I've tried. The Canvas Belt comes in several colours and is simple and classic – wear it just lazing by the wading pool or dress it up for your partner's next court appearance.

The 3 Buckle Belt and the Compass Belt are both very cute, quirky belts that resize exceptionally well considering their irregular shapes. It's so nice to find a multi-buckle belt that can be resized without too much distortion.

OK, I have to go turn Stephanie before she swallows her own tongue.

Kalico... Kalico... KALICO!!!!!

Hey stupid people, yes it is your Queen of Vagina, Cinnamon here with a review of a lil shop called Kalico Kreations. Now this is a cool grungy store that has all the clothes and accesories your Pearl Jam fan inside of you needs. Mmmm, all those half naked plaid wearing Lilth Fair chicks know what I am talking about. Now you have a place to go!

T
here is all kinds of stuff here from bags to collars so its a great accessory store to get that little extra flare for your outfit. And we all know you people need as much help as you can, especially to distract everyone from that big zit on your forehead. Sure you say your Hindu now, but we all know the truth. Just pop it already!

KK has a ton of different things that will really make people notice and say "wtf is she wearing and where can I get it?". But we all know what people are saying when they see moi... THEY ALL WANT MY MILKSHAKE! Mmmhmm, here is me with a simple black hoodie with an additional flexi skirt addition, great for sneaking out of the Mayor's daughter's place in the middle of the night. Helmet is good to break your fall just incase you land on you coconut. I love that word... coconut!

I didn't forget to change my clocks the past weekend with my new fancy oldy watch. Sure sucks since I lost a hour of my beauty sleep, god knows Swirly should hibernate to catch up to me. Small but cute, pretty much goes with everything and a little must have.

Now im out to the ball game with my new top that barely covers my massive tits and a super cute BASEBALL BAT WITH A NAIL. Yes, I am ready for the upcoming end of the world where I will have to protect all my ladies from zombies. Only thing better than using a baseball bat to bash the brains of the undead is hitting a homerun on the Red Sox. Booooooo! RED SUX!!!

Next we got this cute set of Emo Shoes... yes they are sooo soo sad. I am
sure they are just craving attention with the black and white stripped look but not sure if it is a cutter. Another helmet to show off my battle worn skills from killing zombies. Had to change my shirt because you have no idea how hard it is to get flesh off your shirt! Thats why I use Tide, yes Tide. For all your laundry needs and great to get those stains out. MMmmm the fresh smell of Tide! Yummy... where is my fuckin' check?

And finally, I may be a huge lipstick lesbian but I love Wii... no not COCK! I mean the Nintendo Wii and now you can get a Wii to strap around your neck. Sounds more kinky than ya think. Hmmm... maybe not a bad idea. I'll have to patent that! Neck strap-ons! Woot! Come by Kalico Kreations for more great stuff like this.
