Hair Fair Treats from Tiny Bird!

Hello darlings, Swirly here! Are you all excited about Hair Fair? Swirly knows she is. So many fabulous designers releasing fabulous new wigs, Swirly is giddy with excitement! Swirly is particularly excited about Tiny Bird's new Hair Fair releases, even though she already has them of course. Tiny Bird designer Autumn Hykova is a well known Gorean slave girl, who manages to take a break from carrying water across the sim for long enough to create some simply marvelous hair. Good girl Autumn!

Swirly has been waiting simply forever for this hair to be released since she was teased with a preview a few weeks ago. You will have to wait a little longer darlings. Gattina is a formal updo that won't seem out of place at the most glamorous of events. Just look at those sparkling adornments darlings! Pure class!

Swirly is a stunning style inspired by none other than...... Swirly! Autumn is paying a hefty licensing fee for use of Swirly's name, of course. This is BIG hair darlings. You may wear it, but you'll never look as fabulous as Swirly.

Autumn has some other fabulous releases in store for Hair Fair. Swirly was going to blog them too then decided she really couldn't be bothered, so you'll just have to stop by the Tiny Bird booth to try them yourselves. See in you in six months darlings! *smooches*

Illusions - Fabulous Sculptie Hair!

Hello darlings, Swirly here! The delightful Siyu Suen of Illusions recently released the most fabulous sculptie hair and Swirly just had to show it to you. It is much, much better than anything made by lying scumbag Truth Hawks darlings.

Illusions hair features incredible scripted colour changing technology. Now you won't find anything like THAT at Truth dears. Each style is available in a variety of colour groups - Naturals, Jewels, Pastels, Crazies and Black Tips and White Tips. And when you click on the hair, you get even MORE colours to choose from! There are so many colours, Swirly completely broke her brain trying to count them all, and had to stop after reaching five.

Some of this hair could well be the tallest in SL! It's certainly almost as tall as Swirly, which is quite a feat. And Siyu hasn't just released hair for your heads darlings, she has also released some for your face. That's right, fabulous moustaches! Trust Swirly when she says that every girl needs at least one of these in her inventory for those special occasions. The moustaches are also colour changing. But even if they weren't, you wouldn't be able to find anything like these at Truth darlings.

The Bowl in Naturals - Platinum from Illusions
The Fawkes Stache in Naturals - Platinum from Illusions
Sable Short Dress Set in Green by Nicky Ree
Klee Dot Lashes from Detour
Deviant Skin from Wax Poetic

The Heart in Black Tippeds - Amethyst from Illusions
The Handlebar Stache in Naturals - Black from Illusions
"Rose Zircon" Spotted Rainbowa from caLLie cLine
Purple Paillette Earrings from Paper Couture
Spider Lashes from Detour
Funky Tan Skin in Purple and Peach from Fashionably Dead

The Swirly Cyclone in Crazies - Orange from Illusions
The Snidely Stache in Naturals - Black from Illusions
Frills Shirt in Orange from Royal Blue
Sequin Earrings in Orange from JUNK
Thorn Lashes from Detour
Fall Light Skin - Art Class from [miw]

There is more fabulous hair in store darlings, but what's the point of continuing this post now that you have all rushed off to buy The Swirly Cyclone hair? Just remember darlings, don't buy your hair from Truth.

Curio What?

Hello darlings, Swirly here. Yes, it has been far too long, but Swirly has had much more fabulous things to do than share style tips with her adoring fans. Live with it.

The marvelous Siyu Suen of Illusions fame told Swirly some time ago that she simply must visit Curio Obscura as they have the BIGGEST hats in Second Life. Of course, with Swirly off doing so many important and fabulous things, it took her quite some time to heed Siyu's advice. Swirly had the opportunity to chat ever so briefly with the designer behind Curio Obscura, a delightful young lady by the name of Pandora Wrigglesworth, who has a rather odd obsession with clocks and witches. As Swirly spoke with Pandora only long enough to procure some fabulous gifts, she really can't tell you much more about the dear girl. But that hardly matters, as this post is about Swirly.

Curio Obscura's Sausage Curls Galore hair is a delightfully bouncy, flexi style that magically changes colour when you touch it. Swirly is wearing it with the Mini Hat with Rose in Rose Pink, which clearly is not the biggest hat in Second Life, but is still rather marvelous.

This is the Clockwork Edwardian Dress and Hat in Pink. Believe it or not, the hat is included with the dress darlings! And what a hat it is, Swirly had to zoom right out with the camera thingy to be able to fit it in the photo. The dress is rather fabulous too, with puffy sleeves and a huge bustle that draws attention to Swirly's bottom beautifully. You can stop staring now dears. The dress is also available in Black, Blue, Copper, Red, Silver and White.

Now believe Swirly when she tells you, The Clockwork Brain is THE next big thing in high fashion. Forget Cachet, forget Paper Couture (well, actually don't forget PC darlings), you NEED a brain. Swirly found it quite a relief to not have to think for herself, as this marvelous moving, smoking clockwork brain took over all of the work for her. Swirly is actually naked in the picture above, yes, NAKED as the day she was born. The Clockwork Automaton Lady skin (shown here in pink of course darlings) saves you the bother of choosing clothes in the morning, as you don't actually look naked when you wear it. How clever!

Another fabulously huge hat at Curio Obscura is The Witchonista Hat. Swirly is wearing it in black but like all of the hats from Curio Obscura, it comes in a range of other delightful colours, including pink! Swirly is wearing it with the Frills Shirt in Sky White from Royal Blue, which has the most delightful collar.

There are many more treasures to be found at Curio Obscura, far more than Swirly could ever be bothered to show you in a blog post. Do drop by if you like clocks and witches darlings!

Fabulous New Things from ZsaZsa

Hello darlings, Swirly here. That fabulous goddess of style, the divine ZsaZsa Withnail, has lots of new treats available for the discerning fashionista at ZsaZsa's House of Beauty. As the most stylish woman in Second Life, ZsaZsa always has her finger on the fashion pulse, which means that you should all rush out and buy everything in her store darlings. NOW.

ZsaZsa's Timeless Updo could best be described as a timeless updo. Reminiscent of those 1960's Hollywood glamour queens, it was just made for Swirly! Never fear, it still looks divine on you mere mortals. ZsaZsa has as always generously included several colours in the pack, and Swirly is wearing Yellow. No, not blonde darlings, YELLOW.

Splash is a sleek and sophisticated style which surprisingly, has nothing to do with swimming pools or the beach. It comes in all of the natural colours a girl could desire - blue, green, purple and platinum. Just divine!

The most exciting of ZsaZsa's new releases is her Halloween Ensemble. Now while Halloween may be an unknown event outside of Second Life (Swirly had certainly never heard of it before), there is just no excuse for not celebrating this special occasion. ZsaZsa's ensemble will transform you into the sexiest pumpkin known to man, and it includes the hair, which incidentally has a little carved pumpkin face on the back! Swirly couldn't be bothered taking a picture of it for you though darlings, so you will just have to buy the outfit yourselves to see. Swirly just loves the little pumpkin belt, and the cleavage revealing top. No need to wait for Halloween to wear this one dears, it's just perfect for all occasions!

Hair from Philotic Energy and Disembodied Hand

A couple of smaller designers releasing some great hair, Aemilia Case of Philotic Energy, and Disembodied Hand of The Foot Inc and Steam-Powered Industries.

Aemilia Case is known for her prim perfect, superbly textured accessories, and as a shape maker for Lemon. She's been making hair for a while now and has quite an impressive range of styles on offer at her main Philotic Energy store. Here's a few of my favourites.

Ariadne - unfortunately only available in black, I love the feathered bangs which frame the face.

Fen has a decidedly mod feel and is available in 6 colours.

Madelene II features a colour changing hat. There's also a hatless version available.

Disembodied Hand is well known for his steam-punk inspired accessories, but I wasn't even aware he made hair until one of his designs refused to detach itself from Haver Cole's head due to it's incredible cuteness. That's the Kurly Hair shown below, which is definitely one of the sweetest styles I've seen in a while.

The Conductor has a heavy steam-punk influence, and comes with 2 versions - the hat on its own, and with hair.

Wearing: Turtleneck from tres blah, Whippet Walkabout from Philotic Energy, and The Slick skin in Cheesecake from Nylon Outfitters.

Latest Hair Releases from Shop Seu

Hair releases from Shop Seu just keep getting better and better. These four new styles, which were featured at the Style Asia Fashion Show for SLCC, are THE definition of cute. They are only available in the brunette shades shown below, but hey, who cares with hair this good? Each style is 160L.
My personal favourite, the bosabosa hair. Love the way it frames the face.

The ikemen hair is edgy and sexy.

The mitsuami hair features untidy bangs and loose braided pig tails.

Slightly reminiscent of Nylon's style, the short mofumofu hair.

Garbage Skin in Medium from Karamia, Dangly Pearl Earrings from {JUNK}.

Swirly here with wonderful news darlings! ZsaZsa's House of Beauty has returned to Second Life, which means there is no longer any excuse for not looking fabulous all the time! ZsaZsa Withnail designs the most divine hair, skins and accessories for women of style. Her House of Beauty has sometimes been referred to as a shop for drag queens, but as these pictures will show, nothing could be further from the truth. As far as Swirly is concerned, ZsaZsa's House of Beauty is the ultimate shopping destination for women of true grace and beauty. ZsaZsa's creations have been sorely missed since the closure of her store, so Swirly is thrilled that she has finally decided to share them with us all once again. So far, the range is limited to hair and some must have accessories, but ZsaZsa has promised that she will be re-releasing her ever popular eyelashes soon, and you can see Swirly modelling some of those below. Swirly hopes that skins and clothes will follow soon after! Here is just a little taste of some of the items on offer right now, and Swirly can promise that all eyes will be on YOU when you wear anything from ZsaZsa's store.

Fashion Victim's Best of Hair Fair 2007

Hello dears, Swirly here with some of the most fabulous styles from the best designers at Hair Fair this year. Dakota and Stephanie will also give you their opinions on what's hot, but you just listen to Swirly, wouldn't want you making a serious fashion faux pas darlings! Of course there were many more marvelous designers featured at the Hair Fair than Swirly could possibly show you here, but she couldn't buy everything darlings, she doesn't have a husband with payment info on file!

Swirly LOVES Dolly in French Vanilla from Allure. This style has it all darlings, a gorgeous ribbon with pretty flowers attached, side swept bangs and those lovely fluffy alpha textures. Just divine!

A new hair designer premiering at Hair Fair this year is Armidi, brought to us by those clever people at Elephant Outfitters. There's some lovely hair for the boys, but alas, only one style for the girls so far. But what a style it is! The Bombshell lives up to its name, and Swirly just knows she will have men with payment info on file falling at her feet when she wears this hair.

Stephanie Misfit looks quite smart in the Mariya hair from artilleri. It would have looked much nicer on Swirly though.

Poor Dakota Buck looks like she is making a sad attempt to return to her childhood in the Dallas hair from artilleri. What next dear, school uniforms?

Aveda is a new range of realistic hair brought to us by ETD for Aveda Institutes, and darlings, everyone is just raving about it! In the picture above, Stephanie is wearing Long Wavy in Amber, Short Crop in Coffee, and Long Flip in Champagne. That's from left to right darlings, not all at once, that would be silly!
Of course, Stephanie is overshadowed by Swirly wearing the daring Short Bob in Champagne. Only a woman of substantial beauty like Swirly can get away with a style as blunt and edgy as this, which is why Swirly recommends that YOU don't even try.

Swirly loves the sleek, shiny and very sexy Gala II from Curio. Very shiny textures and super flexi darlings! Not a look every girl can pull off, but Swirly manages it effortlessly.

Dakota is wearing Joan in Auburn from Curl Up and Dye Salon. She almost looks pretty!

Also from Curl Up and Dye is Lucy in Red. Doesn't Swirly look adorable in this?

Swirly is wearing LadyGlam in Honey from Glamorous Ladies. Swirly hadn't come across this designer before and was delighted to see that someone is finally bringing some true style and glamour to Second Life!

Stephanie is wearing Kaoru in Brown from Kin Keiko. This style is slightly reminiscent of the movie There's Something About Mary, though Swirly can't put her finger on exactly what it is that reminds her of it.

Swirly just oozes class in Imaginary by the delectably divine Lost Thereian. This style is both playful and sophisticated, isn't Lost marvelous? And ohhhh so handsome too!

Of course, Stephanie had to try to outdo Swirly by buying Pierce, a special design by Lost, with 100% of proceeds going to Locks of Love. You get 48 gorgeous colours for only 2000L, and the warm and fuzzy feeling that comes from helping others. Isn't Lost just the BEST for giving all the proceeds from the sale of Pierce to poor little children who have no hair? And Stephanie dear, just because you purchased a special charity hairstyle doesn't mean you CARE, don't think we can't see right through you darling!

Dakota is wearing Repressed Inner Child from Nylon Outfitters. Dakota dear, just because you have a bizarre obsession with connecting with your "inner child", it does NOT give you permission to pick your nose during fashion shoots! Swirly doesn't know if this kind of thing is considered acceptable on other blogs, but it certainly won't be tolerated on Fashion Victim.
Dakota is in our faces yet again, this time wearing the rather oddly named YO GINA hair from Nylon. Really darlings, you would think Dakota could have at least bothered to run a brush through this hair before modelling it here.

Dakota is modelling Yuppie in Brown by Old Gravy. Yes darlings, only Dakota Buck could make a glamorous hairstyle like Yuppie look somewhat, well, trashy. Once again, something that would look much better on Swirly. Why these girls even bother is a mystery.........

This is Jem from Sinsation . Swirly just loves this soft, fluffy and modern style in the Mocha Highlights shade, it makes her look like a soccer mom who just slid out of bed after a hot night between the sheets.
