Paper Couture Fall Collection

Hello darlings! Fashion Victim presents Swirly's annual blog post. What could be better than a new Paper Couture collection to bring Swirly out of hiding? Certainly not a grey t-shirt from Tiny Bird, but Swirly would rather not talk about that particularly traumatic incident right now. Now on with the hard hitting fashion journalism dears.

Paper Couture has lots of short frocks on offer this season to show off Swirly's lovely legs. Swirly bought quite a few as they represented a substantial linden dollar saving over the longer frocks. Sequin Jungle is simply perfect for those indecisive evenings when you can't quite make up your mind whether to head for the disco or go on safari. You know what Swirly's talking about, and you'll never need to worry about it again. Swirly squealed in delight when she saw the turban included with this outfit, as it meant she did not need to choose a hairstyle for this photo.


Swirly's favourite frock this season is the White Cheetah Mini. Darlings, if you take off the shrug, you get slutwear. Now Swirly is sure you weren't expecting that from Paper Couture. It looks like the Lu Sisters are finally marketing to wider audience. Pro tip - look out for "PC Inc" coming to a Tableau sim near you sometime next year. On to the Dead Man's Necklace, not only is it the closest Swirly has come to a man nuzzling her bosoms in many a year, it's also just the most fabulous piece of jewelry Swirly has ever seen and it also reminds her of the "artwork" her daddy used to hang on the walls at home until her mother came in screaming at him to take it all down because it wasn't hygienic.


The Spotted Suit belies its name, revealing itself to be a suit with spots. Swirly is most impressed with the size of the jewelry in this season's collection. The Sunrise Earrings are simply massive. What this photo does not show you is that due to their sheer enormity, the earrings are piercing into Swirly's cheeks, causing incredible pain. But its all worth it darlings. Never let him tell you that size doesn't matter. It most certainly does.


Seen by Moonlight just inspires Swirly to strike a dramatic pose. The long, sculpted cape trails after you seductively as you walk, but it's something you'll need to keep checking to make sure you haven't accidentally tucked it into the back of your knickers before you leave the ladies room. Swirly knows not everyone has class darlings. The Treasures Bib is a particularly striking piece, and just perfect for the messier eaters amongst you, though heaven knows how you'll get all that encrusted food out of the gems.


The Beaded Top Gown has so many hints of different color, it will match anything in your wardrobe. Swirly chose a random pair of shoes from her inventory to prove this - look, they match! Swirly just adores PC's Metal Headdress - it's sure to hide a multitude of sins, such as baldness.


The Infinite Rainbow dress reminds Swirly of a week long migraine she had back in the 80s, minus the pain of course, though perhaps with a hint of nausea remaining. The Simplicity Necklace sums up all that is the Lu Sisters - always understated, never pretentious.

And that is the collection for this season. Well at least, what Swirly could afford. Alas, to stay in sugar daddies, one must log on to SL *smooches*

Paper Couture Fall '07 Collection

The moment is finally here, the arrival of the Paper Couture Fall '07 collection. Following the show tonight I popped in and out of Tableau, waiting for the Lu Sisters to pop up on my radar, and sure enough it wasn't too long before they filled the store with their new collection, and Paper Couture was soon overflowing with fashionistas eager to get their hands on the clothes. Not wanting to be fussed with making decisions (much too hard with the quality of the collection this season), I bought it all. There is a definite retro edge to many of the pieces in this collection - 1960s and 80s vintage meets high fashion. In the hands of the very talented Lu Sisters, the result is simply stunning. At the time of writing, there is still no sign of the new season shoes and glasses, but there are gorgeous new handbags available. Now if the Lu Sisters would just release the amazing hair their models teased us with during the show, I would be in heaven!

It was extremely difficult to narrow it down to a few favourite pieces to post here; it will be even harder to explain to Swirly why I usurped her on blogging one of her favourite designers, but hey, that bitch got to model in their SHOW!

Hands down my favourite from the collection, Red Baby could well be the cutest dress in SL. Yes, I know it looked better on Swirly......

Head coverings are a feature of many of the outfits, including the earthy but very urban Cold Street

I am getting a real "Dynasty" vibe from Stray Horse. Absolutely superb texturing and prim work.

LBD with a couture edge - Rode Island

Another hands down favourite, the very retro Pool. Yes, that's a system skirt.

An absolute show stopper - the Falsetta Layered Gown

Not much else to be said except......... get your ass down to Tableau right now!

Second Dyke - Second Installment

Since I know for a FACT that people liked my first Second Dyke post, here's another, just for those two people. High Fashion meets Maternity Wear

I must be dreaming! Couture clothing that fits the shape of women knocked up! My goodness, it really is a dream come true. As you recall, not so long ago I had to abort my burden to be able to fit into some Paper Couture outfits. This time around I won't have to abort my burden because I realize the clothes fit perfect! Another store embracing maternity wear. I couldn't be anymore happier, especially since it is Paper Couture. One of my favorite stores in Second life. God bless those Lu Sisters. I might have to bring over some pot roast to their home as a thank you for joining the growing number of designers that are making being knocked up look sooo sexy. They also have mens clothing for the Spring collection which Stephanie will give you a taste of soon! Sorry so short, but who wants to read anyway? I'm more into the picture books myself...well, take care folks, and all you knocked up hookers please go to Paper Couture and spend your hubby's linden. :)

FABULOUS Spring Collection from Paper Couture

Darlings, it's finally here, the much anticipated Spring Collection from Paper Couture! Ayami and Swirly had a drop down drag out cat fight to determine who would blog these items here on Fashion Victim. Swirly won of course, by telling Ayami that she could write the feature, then waiting for Ayami to go to bed before writing it herself. But really darlings, it's only fair - the Lu Sisters would be SO disappointed if Swirly did not model their clothes! Of course frocks as fabulous as these should be worn in glamorous locations, as Swirly demonstrates below.

Shown above is the delightful Orange Blossom Gown which perfectly complements this large goose.

Swirly is wearing the stunning Anemone Gown which is best worn whilst standing on the back of an extremely large turtle.

Swirly is modelling the very pretty Folora Gown whilst determining if her feathered friend has payment info on file.

Paper Couture - Love at first sight :D

I've just discovered Paper Couture the other day and it was love at first sight. Go check out their blog ( click the picture above to go to their blog ) and definitely go check out their store. I can't tell you how many times I spazzed to Bing about how much I love this store.

You will not leave the store without an outfit or two. Well, at least I didn't leave with just two outfits. But we all know I have a serious shopping problem...Well I guess it doesn't matter anymore because I have a SUGAR DADDY! Be jealous, bitches! :P
