Hello darlings, Swirly here. Swirly was simply devastated to learn that Roslin and CJ are closing up shop - again! But it's good news for Swirly, with lots and lots of lovely bargains to be found. In fact, everything is only 50L darlings! Swirly took a trip to the grotty warehouse that is 5th & Oxford and snapped up some frilly knickers from Luxuria and some very pretty skins. Being a kind and generous soul, Swirly has taken some photos to share with you, her devoted readers.

Swirly took these photos using her new pose stand from Chanimations. Poor Swirly found herself without a pose stand after a tragic incident with some griefers, but Dakota Buck was kind enough to point Swirly in the right direction when she told her that the "Fetish Cabaret Wild Thing" is what all the top models are using these days. With seven poses for only 700L, Swirly is sure you'll agree it is fabulous. Thank you Dakota darling!

Photo Editing for Fashion Bloggers 101 with Swirly

Hello darlings, Swirly here! As Second Life's number one fashion blogger for more years than she cares to remember, Swirly thought it was time to give something back to the little people. That's right, Swirly is going to share some of her most closely guarded fashion blogging secrets just with you!

Swirly knows you've all seen those other so called photo editing tutorials and is sure you'll agree - what are those girls smoking? Dodge and burn? Liquify? We want to make the pictures pretty darlings, not destroy them.

Here we have a snapshot straight out of Second Life. Yes, even with the ever radiant Swirly these pictures do look quite lackluster before we pretty them up, don't they? Let's do something about it.

Start by opening your picture in your favorite image editing software. Swirly recommends MS Paint. That's because it's made by Microsoft, so you just know you can rely on it to be the best quality software darlings. Try to stay awake for this bit, Swirly knows it's tedious. Now print the picture and close your image editor, you don't need it anymore dear.

Once you have printed your picture, you need to crop it. Use sharp scissors, and remember the "Rule of Thirds", which means you musn't crop more than one third of the picture away because it's quite wasteful. Think of the environment, and do recycle.

Now for the fun bit darlings, and where you can let your true talent shine through - editing the photo! You will need crayons in a wide range of colors, at least 8, or you risk your picture looking slightly unnatural. The best quality crayons come with a "tan" color for the skin tone, but pale pink mixed with white for highlights is a good second best darlings. Swirly recommends yellow for hair, but this may not work if you are not blond. Put lots of color into your picture and remove every hint of dullness.

Once you've finished editing your picture you will need to "scan" it to get it back on to your computer. Because this is very technical, Swirly recommends that you ask your husband to do it for you. Swirly always gets the nice boy at the copy shop to do it for her. And darlings, here is the stunning end result, that's all there is to it!

After her shopping spree at Paper Couture, Swirly had precisely 50L left to spend, so thank heavens for Fifty Linden Friday, an event that Swirly usually leaves to the proletariat. Whose ranks she unfortunately seems to have joined for the moment. Speaking of Fifty Linden Friday, what on earth is up with these designers these days? These girls are practically giving it away! Emma Gilmour, Autumn Hykova, Saeya Nyanda, Roslin Petion, Twiggy Whippet, Lamb Bellic, Launa Fauna, Antonia Marat, Redd Columbia, Shai Delacroix, Apatia Hammerer, Julliette Westerburg and the list goes on, all offering themselves up for next to nothing like street corner hookers for a dime bag. Keep yourselves nice girls, that is all Swirly has to say on the matter.

Now on to the fashion, as Swirly knows that's what you're all here for. The always clever and fabulous Redd Columbia of RC Cluster has released these must have Twisted Tongues for Fifty Linden Friday and Swirly just doesn't know how she lived in SL without them! There are so many to choose from, but Swirly lost count after two. Due to the nature of Fifty Linden Fridays, they'll only be out for another hour or so, so hurry and grab them now darlings!

Paper Couture Fall Collection

Hello darlings! Fashion Victim presents Swirly's annual blog post. What could be better than a new Paper Couture collection to bring Swirly out of hiding? Certainly not a grey t-shirt from Tiny Bird, but Swirly would rather not talk about that particularly traumatic incident right now. Now on with the hard hitting fashion journalism dears.

Paper Couture has lots of short frocks on offer this season to show off Swirly's lovely legs. Swirly bought quite a few as they represented a substantial linden dollar saving over the longer frocks. Sequin Jungle is simply perfect for those indecisive evenings when you can't quite make up your mind whether to head for the disco or go on safari. You know what Swirly's talking about, and you'll never need to worry about it again. Swirly squealed in delight when she saw the turban included with this outfit, as it meant she did not need to choose a hairstyle for this photo.

Swirly's favourite frock this season is the White Cheetah Mini. Darlings, if you take off the shrug, you get slutwear. Now Swirly is sure you weren't expecting that from Paper Couture. It looks like the Lu Sisters are finally marketing to wider audience. Pro tip - look out for "PC Inc" coming to a Tableau sim near you sometime next year. On to the Dead Man's Necklace, not only is it the closest Swirly has come to a man nuzzling her bosoms in many a year, it's also just the most fabulous piece of jewelry Swirly has ever seen and it also reminds her of the "artwork" her daddy used to hang on the walls at home until her mother came in screaming at him to take it all down because it wasn't hygienic.

The Spotted Suit belies its name, revealing itself to be a suit with spots. Swirly is most impressed with the size of the jewelry in this season's collection. The Sunrise Earrings are simply massive. What this photo does not show you is that due to their sheer enormity, the earrings are piercing into Swirly's cheeks, causing incredible pain. But its all worth it darlings. Never let him tell you that size doesn't matter. It most certainly does.

Seen by Moonlight just inspires Swirly to strike a dramatic pose. The long, sculpted cape trails after you seductively as you walk, but it's something you'll need to keep checking to make sure you haven't accidentally tucked it into the back of your knickers before you leave the ladies room. Swirly knows not everyone has class darlings. The Treasures Bib is a particularly striking piece, and just perfect for the messier eaters amongst you, though heaven knows how you'll get all that encrusted food out of the gems.

The Beaded Top Gown has so many hints of different color, it will match anything in your wardrobe. Swirly chose a random pair of shoes from her inventory to prove this - look, they match! Swirly just adores PC's Metal Headdress - it's sure to hide a multitude of sins, such as baldness.

The Infinite Rainbow dress reminds Swirly of a week long migraine she had back in the 80s, minus the pain of course, though perhaps with a hint of nausea remaining. The Simplicity Necklace sums up all that is the Lu Sisters - always understated, never pretentious.

And that is the collection for this season. Well at least, what Swirly could afford. Alas, to stay in sugar daddies, one must log on to SL *smooches*

Hair Fair Treats from Tiny Bird!

Hello darlings, Swirly here! Are you all excited about Hair Fair? Swirly knows she is. So many fabulous designers releasing fabulous new wigs, Swirly is giddy with excitement! Swirly is particularly excited about Tiny Bird's new Hair Fair releases, even though she already has them of course. Tiny Bird designer Autumn Hykova is a well known Gorean slave girl, who manages to take a break from carrying water across the sim for long enough to create some simply marvelous hair. Good girl Autumn!

Swirly has been waiting simply forever for this hair to be released since she was teased with a preview a few weeks ago. You will have to wait a little longer darlings. Gattina is a formal updo that won't seem out of place at the most glamorous of events. Just look at those sparkling adornments darlings! Pure class!

Swirly is a stunning style inspired by none other than...... Swirly! Autumn is paying a hefty licensing fee for use of Swirly's name, of course. This is BIG hair darlings. You may wear it, but you'll never look as fabulous as Swirly.

Hello darlings, Swirly here! Swirly saw the most fabulous blogger challenge on Winter Jefferson's blog In Cold Blood (dreadfully violent name dear). A week to acknowledge those bloggers you respect, and who have inspired you. Well, to be frank darlings, none of you overly inspire Swirly and she has no respect for any of you. But she does quite enjoy reading some of your little blogs, with their pretty pictures and what not. And it seems only right that Swirly participate in this challenge after Winter's lovely homage to her. So without further ado, here is a small tribute to some of you dear little bloggers.

Swirly always enjoys reading Gogo's posts at JuicyBomb for their healthy use of the colour pink. So many fabulous hair and skin reviews too, Gogo is quite the prolific blogger! Here is a lovely picture of Swirly inspired by Gogo. Now isn't that much nicer than an SL Secret darlings?

Another prolific blogger is Ana Lutetia. She does take a lovely picture and is always quick to share the latest fashion news with her readers. Ana can be seen updating her blog up to 30 times some days! One thing that Swirly loves about Ana is that the dear girl isn't afraid to eat, and you can see proof of this in some of her more recent blog posts. Although Ana's style is much more casual than Swirly's, she certainly shares her love of food. Here is Swirly's homage to Ana.

Photographing SL is a blog with lovely pictures and lots of bosoms. Swirly knows she will always find an outfit or two to buy as she peruses Photographing SL, even if only half of it is shown in the picture. Elysium Eilde is certainly very clever with the Photoshop. Swirly had to make do with MS Paint to create her homage to the bosoms of this fabulous blog.

There are so many more of you Swirly would love to have recognised in this blog post. But you know Swirly darlings, it's really just too much of a bother.

Fabulous New Prosthetic Feet from Stiletto Moody!

Hello darlings, Swirly here! Did you know that Stiletto Moody was the FIRST person to introduce sculptie shoes to Second Life? Swirly didn't, and thought it was someone else entirely, until Stiletto herself set the record straight on that. Phew!

Now onto the review. Swirly was VERY excited about this new release from Stiletto that has not only been hailed as the greatest advancement in technology to ever hit the SL grid, but is also very reminiscent of Swirly's all time favourite television show!

Ahh Dexter! Luckily for those who have suffered similar fates to that pictured above, Stiletto Moody has come to the rescue with a range of divine prosthetic feet that even include shoes! Fortunately, Swirly has never suffered a mishap that has resulted in the loss of a precious foot, but she still couldn't resist purchasing one of these prosthetics for herself. Just look at them darlings!

These marvelous replacement feet and shoes look even better close up. Now bear in mind that you will need to adjust them yourself, but thanks to the technologically advanced menu system, it shouldn't take you more than a few hours to get a close approximation of your skin tone. After seven hours of blood, sweat and tears , Swirly decided that close enough was good enough. And here is the result, fabulous wouldn't you agree darlings?

Swirly noticed a slight gap at the ankle but has been assured that this is just an "invisiprim" issue and is nothing to worry about, her foot hasn't actually been severed. It's certainly not something that would put you off paying 1899L for a pair of these!

Swirly's favourite part of these fabulous feet is the succulent toes, such delicate little sausages. Swirly isn't sure if they are edible but will be sure to find out later when she procures the appropriate condiments. They certainly look tasty from here!

All in all, Swirly would have to agree that these new prosthetics are THE greatest thing to hit the SL grid, if not the world. As with all Stiletto Moody releases, they include bling AND that fabulous horse clomping sound to really set you apart from the crowd. Swirly highly recommends that you buy them, even if you aren't an amputee.

Hello darlings, Swirly here. Swirly has been in SL for two years now and is ashamed to admit that in all that time she has never cybered! Seereina Geiger from MekaNoiZe Labs has changed Swirly's ways with her fabulous range of futuristic clothing that is just perfect for you cybering types. Swirly can honestly say that with clothes as fabulous as these, she'll be cybering non stop from now on!

Swirly looks fabulous in MekaNoiZe Labs Invader in Silver, as she holds Stephanie Misfit's still- beating heart in her hand. Stephanie is wearing MekaNoiZe Labs Monokrom in Black, which is a very nice outfit that would look much better on Swirly.

If you purchase the Invader outfit, you also get the fabulous Invader Cyberlox Hair that Swirly is wearing here! And a pair of goggles! Swirly isn't wearing those though, she wanted you all to be able to see her pretty eyes.

MekaNoiZe Labs also makes frocks! Swirly would model the De/konstrukt Ghost corset and skirt for you if she had it, but she doesn't, so you'll just have to make do with Stephanie Misfit. The skirt is made from sculpties AND it glows! Since when did things start glowing in Second Life darlings?

All of these outfits are available in black and silver, and Swirly is hopeful that pink will be available soon. Also from Tesla are these fabulous Athena Open Toe Stiletto Boots. Swirly just loves the magical resize script that makes them fit perfectly!

Kyoot's New Money Dress and Hat can be worn many different ways. Here, Swirly has just clicked "add to outfit".

Thank God for Maternity Wear

While you're all busy photoshopping your pictures just to be praised on flickr, and pretending to be afk working hard on your latest AMAZING designs (We all know you're cybering, stop pretending that you and your dildo aren't BFF.), something tragic has happened! I have become knocked up again with yet another burden. Last time I was knocked up the heavens heard my prayers and made the abortion a success. Now, it may be a little too late to abort the burden, but I know plenty of cannibals (Swirly Cyclone) who are more than willing to rid me of such awful things; a baby and responsibility! Now in order to forget all my worries, I decided retail therapy would do the job. The only place I could think of was Artilleri because it's my favorite maternity wear store, ever! Antonia is good to us knocked up hookers.

The skirt is yellow like a banana. I love bananas! Especially when my close friends are borrowing my dildo or husband. :D

Swirly - The Stalker's Guide

Hello darlings, Swirly here! A spate of disturbing incidents involving Julliette Westerburg aka Juju Armidi has prompted Swirly to raise the important issue of stalking. A high profile fashionista of Swirly's calibre can expect to encounter many stalkers, and Swirly has certainly had more than her fair share. You know how it is darlings, the adoring notecards they send, the visits to your private home to take photos of themselves in your garden, the instant messages declaring undying love. The mobs of obsessed fans converging upon you while you shop. These disturbed individuals will stop at nothing to be close to you, to gain just a brief moment of your time and attention. Yes my dears, you all know how it is.

There are good stalkers, and there are bad stalkers darlings. Julliette Westerburg falls firmly into the latter category. The relationship between stalker and stalkee can be mutually beneficial if the stalker is able to understand the needs of her prey. Yes, Swirly is talking about gifts. This is something that adoring fangirl Julliette has failed to recognise. Swirly has a heart of stone, cold black stone. Do you really think that fawning notecards and uninvited TPs can penetrate that cold chamber my dear? Do you seriously think that photos like THIS one, disturbingly named "Hunting you down, my love" will win Swirly's heart?

And upon receiving a restraining order from Swirly's lawyer, do you really think that getting Marcelle DeCuir (probably also a stalker) to send obsessive notecards and photos on your behalf will help? Especially when the restraining order clearly states that contact is only to be made via gifts of value, preferably the entire inventory of Tres Blah and Armidi? How many sledgehammer-subtle hints must Swirly give you before you send her GIFTS??

Fortunately, there are stalkers who understand Swirly. Well, one stalker actually darlings. Swirly is of course referring to Saeya Nyanda, an obsessed fan who has turned stalking Swirly into something of an art form. Saeya has worked tirelessly to win Swirly over, to the extent that Swirly now almost tolerates the girl. Swirly would even go so far to say that she sometimes misses Saeya, when it has been some time since she sent Swirly a gift that is. So for Julliette, and others contemplating stalking Swirly, here is a best practice guide based on stalking methods used by Saeya.

Decorate it to Swirly's tastes, not your own, and fill it with all the Swirly memorabilia you have tirelessly collected during the course of your obsession with her. Create fake photos of Swirly standing with Elvis and The Beatles, Photoshop her into album covers and movie posters. Add a disco ball and music for ambiance, and ensure that the bodies of Swirly's dead husbands are all buried nearby. Nothing will appeal to Swirly's ego more than an elaborate shrine my darlings, so never underestimate its power.

But how many people have created extravagant shrines and anticipated Swirly's needs so completely? This is why Saeya Nyanda will always be Swirly's number one stalker, and there is no-one else who could match her disturbingly obsessive devotion.

Swirly heard through the grapevine that Saeya spent some time with Julliette to offer her tips on appropriate stalking. Of course, this came with grave warnings that Saeya will always be number one, and that any attempts to remove her from that position would come with dire consequences. Now that, my darlings, is true devotion.

Content Theft - A few thoughts on "raids" and protests

I've noted with concern some blog posts and in-world notices encouraging protests at stores that are distributing stolen content. While obviously well intentioned, I don't believe this kind of action is a valid first step in responding to content theft. Take a moment to read Sioxie Legend's perspective on this, and information about other ways you can help.

Please, if you find stolen content, contact the affected designers first, and give them a chance to file a DMCA. Alerting the content thief first by organising large scale protests at their store gives the thief a chance to move their store or start selling the stolen content under an alt, making it harder for the designers to track them down and take action.

While content theft justifiably creates a feeling of outrage within the community, ultimately it is the designers who are most affected. Please let them decide the appropriate course of action in response to the theft of their work.

Illusions - Fabulous Sculptie Hair!

Hello darlings, Swirly here! The delightful Siyu Suen of Illusions recently released the most fabulous sculptie hair and Swirly just had to show it to you. It is much, much better than anything made by lying scumbag Truth Hawks darlings.

Illusions hair features incredible scripted colour changing technology. Now you won't find anything like THAT at Truth dears. Each style is available in a variety of colour groups - Naturals, Jewels, Pastels, Crazies and Black Tips and White Tips. And when you click on the hair, you get even MORE colours to choose from! There are so many colours, Swirly completely broke her brain trying to count them all, and had to stop after reaching five.

Some of this hair could well be the tallest in SL! It's certainly almost as tall as Swirly, which is quite a feat. And Siyu hasn't just released hair for your heads darlings, she has also released some for your face. That's right, fabulous moustaches! Trust Swirly when she says that every girl needs at least one of these in her inventory for those special occasions. The moustaches are also colour changing. But even if they weren't, you wouldn't be able to find anything like these at Truth darlings.

Curio What?

Hello darlings, Swirly here. Yes, it has been far too long, but Swirly has had much more fabulous things to do than share style tips with her adoring fans. Live with it.

The marvelous Siyu Suen of Illusions fame told Swirly some time ago that she simply must visit Curio Obscura as they have the BIGGEST hats in Second Life. Of course, with Swirly off doing so many important and fabulous things, it took her quite some time to heed Siyu's advice. Swirly had the opportunity to chat ever so briefly with the designer behind Curio Obscura, a delightful young lady by the name of Pandora Wrigglesworth, who has a rather odd obsession with clocks and witches. As Swirly spoke with Pandora only long enough to procure some fabulous gifts, she really can't tell you much more about the dear girl. But that hardly matters, as this post is about Swirly.

Curio Obscura's Sausage Curls Galore hair is a delightfully bouncy, flexi style that magically changes colour when you touch it. Swirly is wearing it with the Mini Hat with Rose in Rose Pink, which clearly is not the biggest hat in Second Life, but is still rather marvelous.

This is the Clockwork Edwardian Dress and Hat in Pink. Believe it or not, the hat is included with the dress darlings! And what a hat it is, Swirly had to zoom right out with the camera thingy to be able to fit it in the photo. The dress is rather fabulous too, with puffy sleeves and a huge bustle that draws attention to Swirly's bottom beautifully. You can stop staring now dears. The dress is also available in Black, Blue, Copper, Red, Silver and White.

Now believe Swirly when she tells you, The Clockwork Brain is THE next big thing in high fashion. Forget Cachet, forget Paper Couture (well, actually don't forget PC darlings), you NEED a brain. Swirly found it quite a relief to not have to think for herself, as this marvelous moving, smoking clockwork brain took over all of the work for her. Swirly is actually naked in the picture above, yes, NAKED as the day she was born. The Clockwork Automaton Lady skin (shown here in pink of course darlings) saves you the bother of choosing clothes in the morning, as you don't actually look naked when you wear it. How clever!

Another fabulously huge hat at Curio Obscura is The Witchonista Hat. Swirly is wearing it in black but like all of the hats from Curio Obscura, it comes in a range of other delightful colours, including pink! Swirly is wearing it with the Frills Shirt in Sky White from Royal Blue, which has the most delightful collar.

Ahoy hoy!

Today we are staring at Bens' Porn to Chill army helmet. Nicely sculpted with some great detailing, ace of spades card, chewing gum, unfiltered cigs (ja, that's right..unfiltered) and bullets and let's not forget to mention it's battered to shit. Ladies, be prepared to mod a wig for this one. It's fun! I am also wearing his Army Star T shirt which for some strange reason he is hesitant to sell. (Ben, just sell the shirt). It's a bit hidden with the blood layers, but hey. Also by Ben is this really great Army Belt, which he sells with a pretty kickass backpack. Come check 'em out at the Works.

Also worn here are my really great military dog tags (with ballpeen chain!) from the Virus Co. My hand wraps, mud/blood layers and CamoJeans are from Homicide Designs. Wraps and layers being a part of my every day attire, as are my tags. Makes me so happy.

Welly well well! Sergei from Clobber has crawled out from underneath his virtual rock known as World of Warcraft to create this Commando Jumper (with armpatches). Unfortunately the rest of you will have to wait for yours, because Serg's video card took a major shit and now he has no Warcraft and no Photoshop to finish his ad. So, within a few days this will be available. My pants are his Vietnam Burnt Cammo Trousers. (Those you can get now, heh.)

A bunch of us headed over to the Kowloon sim to pick up the famous panda ride from their flea market. It's a beautifully constructed sim with so many places to explore, with some really great stuff for modest prices. (Not pictured my chef's hat.) While we were there, the second shop from the left as you enter sells some really great avatars. We all purchased the avatar here, the kowloon old woman or man. For just a mere 20 linden you will have plenty left over to properly acessorize your new av. Which we did. In SPADES! Rikka from Crimson and Clover was kind enough to make this marvelous wig just for her, and it's now for sale.

My outfit here was made by a buddy named Frenchbloke Vanmoer from the shitty deluxe collection. I first met Frenchie when I vomited blood on him while he was AFK. Who knew this guy would later go on to make such great fashion? My set includes the shitty vest, pants, socks and rope belt with buzzing flies. He has a shop now, and you can pick up this LOVELY outfit from Judi Denche's Fish and Chips shop along with his other weirdness. There you will also find some really great shapes and other bits by the talented Umbra Lunardi.

An lastly, my chair. Akasha Wachmann started it all by getting one first, and pimping it out oh so very nicely. I loved it so much, I had to go get one of my own. And when I was finished with mine the end result would have made Ed Gein crow with pure joy. Pick up your very own chair from twee and go fucking nuts. The body parts on my chair are from the Works .

This lovely outfit is aptly named dreaded sunny day (love the name) from silentsparrow. Love the skirt, love the pants with the belt layers. Love the entire outfit. Which brings us to...

My outfit was made by the always lovely Draconic Lioncourt and it's called the Annabel Lee.

Happy New Year! ( Okay, I'm a little late! ) I am so excited that it's that time again where we all can get a fresh start on life! I have made at least hundred new resolutions, and have broken only eighty so far. I'm very pleased with myself. But before I share with you some of my resolutions, I have to bring to your attention two maternity dresses that are perfect for that job interview. I went to Canimal which is another fine maternity store and was pleased to discover the new selection of conservative, classy dresses. They are perfect for executive meetings, and for any job interview. I highly recommend them to any mother to be.

Resolution number #81 is to spread my legs more and give more men a chance. ;)

Resolution #82 is to abort more. And to all you knocked up hookers who are fearful of visiting abortion clinics due to extremist who blow the centers up, please contact me as I know many ways to get rid of that burden for good without being blown up. :]

I am here to institute a no pants rule whenever I can. Heck, I rip pants off people when I can too. Sure, they may say "no" or "who are you?" or "put your hands up this is the police", but we all know they are playin' hard ta get.

The best thing about her shop is that it just blends well with the funky cool style we have seen with some shops in SL. An early Christmas gift

Hello all. It's been awhile since I've treated you to hot, steamy, sexy pictures of myself. Since Christmas is very soon, I decided to take time away from my adult movie making occupation, and go shopping, and take some pictures of what I bought.

( That smile is reason #393,927 your girlfriend is jealous of me! )

Of course I went to the leading store in Maternity wear, Artilleri. =) Antonia is known for her exclusive store just for us knocked up hookers, so it was a given that I would go there. I couldn't afford all the lingerie because I didn't get my bonus from work. I didn't get my bonus from work because I refused to protest against women getting abortions. As you know, I love abortions! I might go to a clinic right after I'm done treating you to these sexy pictures. ;)

There's a bunch of new stuff at Artilleri! ( Mostly super new to me because I've been so busy googling 2 Girls, 1 Cup..and reenacting the scenes with my mother in law. ) But who honestly cares about dresses, shirts, and pants in the winter time when there's brand new lingerie!?

( Aren't Mr.Boner and I adorable together? )

Random note: Being knocked up is not a beautiful thing, but I certainly make it beautiful. This burden of mine and an unknown sperm donor should be blessed that I am carrying it.

But on a bright side, I know this is a bit early, but I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas. Oh, I forgot I have to say "Happy Holidays" because someone out there will get all offended. ;)

Hair by Oni Product and DARYL!

Ahoy hoy!

Today we are staring at hair by Oni Product, and they are only 100 bux! She has been dabbling in hair creating for a few months, and has finally released them. Pretty much as I had set out to do this a week ago, but became distracted. Sorry Oni! So yeah. Let's have a look! (I chose the auburn color for each, as it's my favorite of the ones she offers.)

This is my favorite, Flower Child. Hippy name, not so much hippy hair. It's a longer style, and its really quite good. I require bangs to cover my HUGE forehead. I -really- like this hair.

This one is called Rikku. The band is color changeable and it's also a longer style. The detail with the the beads in the braids is outstanding!

This one is called Bob Tail. The wee ponytail in the back is so nifty, I love how it just sticks out there. All the alphas on the wigs are well done, and of course, the bangs!

This one is called Valen. Band is also color changeable. An 80's style, and NOT good for vampire children. However I am sure some of you adult types filled with life and color could pull this one off.

She tells me she is going towards a more anime styles, which is really good news. I have always leaned toward the Kin hair, and now we have Oni Product, too!

Chicanery has been making HATS! Well, this one is a helmet, but its really terrific as you dont have to buy a flat haired wig to wear it. This is the bathead helmet, and I will pretty much wear it with anything, and anywhere! This one is pure sculpt, with his great hand drawn textures. See?

Chica might me annoyed with me, but he has made some hats for Christmas. Chica is setting them out today and you will need these because they're FREE. I am wearing the dirty Santa Hat.

And here is Daryl. He is a party monster dolly. With his pendulous belly, beer bottle and armpit hair, all you ladies need to run out and get one for your NASCAR lover this Christmas. Without a doubt, Daryl is my favorite plushie. I LOVE this little guy! He is a sculpt and fairly low prim, so you can set him out for decoration, too.

Chicanery is working on more hats, including something akin to the Jughead beanie I have been begging for. New shit at Chicanery. Go buy Daryl, now. Because you really need him.

On the road...with Fedor McNally!

Ahoy hoy!

This is my friend Fedor. He is a little person. Unlike myself who is an ancient, bitter forever child. Fedor and I decided to have a full blown adventure, starting with a Western town where even though they had damage on, we were unable to kill each other. After our initial disappointment we still managed to get into the spirit of our surroundings, so we opted for a fun game of cowboys and Indians. Fedor played the mighty Chief and I was Black Bart. Even though I was equipped with my trusty .38 Special, Fedor still managed to give me quite the fright as evidenced here:

You try looking at this and not make a face. Impossible! Fedor is FIERCE!

We then decided to go exploring for some peyote. I believe this was the main reason we came here, as he had only mentioned it like, oh five times. Fedor said there was peyote under this bulbous cactus, I had to take his word for it 'cause I couldn't see shit from underneath this cow skull.

After consuming his peyote and vomiting for thirty, the good feelings must have kicked in cause he danced for another thirty. Must have been some pretty weak peyote, 'cause I'm pretty sure it's supposed to last longer than thirty.

The super nifty and realistic Pow Wow Kit comes with the FANTASTIC headdress, cow skull headpiece, scripted spear, knife and tomahawk! My Black Bart outfit is called Chapparal and comes with several clothing options, prim cuffs and that kickass cowboy hat made by Calico.

We had left the Western sim and decided to check into a Motel before our big trip to Vegas. I don't require much so I was able to stuff it all into my Back Sack with scripted color change options, which is completely lost on me because black is the BEST color.

Here we are playing vandals with our Domestic Disturbance PLATES. (No, NOT the shitty movie with John Travolta.) They make a a nice smashy smash noise and shatter into like eleventy billion bits. Fedor is so hardcore he was jumping on the bed while throwing his plates. Look how he is wrinkling the sheets!

Not being able to resist making a mess, I threw a couple. Here is an exellent shot of my handiwork, haha!

We got chased out of the Motel for making a mess so we decided to leave for Vegas a bit early. Here is Fedor sporting his Fear and Loathing glasses. Since I detest yellow I went just for the fear lenses. You get three pair in the set, so I really couldn't complain too much. Fedor wears them because he says full sized chicks really dig little men in sunglasses and loud clothing.

Fedor stopped and picked up a hitch-hiker. This little 301st Spartan is on his way to Vegas to participate in mad orgies with lots of midgetsechs.

Hello darlings, Swirly here. Did you know that Adam n Eve sells shoes? That's right, SHOES darlings, FABULOUS ones. Dear little Damen Gorilla is quite clever with the sculptures, and was kind enough to share some lovely shoes with Swirly. Swirly does love gifts despite her strict no review copies policy. These shoes are called Serpenti, presumably because they are made from 100% serpent skins and innards. Swirly just adores anything made from dead animals, and these shoes are no exception. These delightful shoes are elegant and sophisticated, so naturally Swirly just had to model them at Straylight. Smooches Kriss darling!

I visited Annette Voight's store Decoy for the first time today after seeing an announcement for the Elisa dress on the Fashion World of SL feed. The store has only a very small inventory of hand-drawn clothing and according to Annette's blog has only been open since September. What is available so far so greatly impressed me that I ended up leaving the creator one of those fangirl-ish "OMG YOUR STUFF IS AMAZING" type IMs. The apparel at Decoy combines obvious technical ability with classic style and attention to detail.

Elisa is the dress that got me in the door, so-to-speak. Between the unusual stone inlays on the neck, the rouching on the bust and the sleek cut of the skirt I fell in love. I'm wearing the dress in Brown/Teal, Brown/Creme and (my favourite) Wine/Tangerine. The deep wine accented with a rich burnt orange looks puts me in mind of arriving to a gala event feeling rich and important.

The Just Peachy Cardigan (shown here in red but available in several colours) is an excellent separate for the cooler months. My fellow button-addicts will be impressed by the perfect hand-drawn button that pulls the cardigan closed under the bust.

There is more great button detail on the Hooded Blazer, along with little pockets. I'm sure that in the coming weeks this jacket will become a staple in my wardrobe. The hood of the jacket is sculpted and I adore the slightly boyish cut and of course the colour. I chose Navy (it's nice to have a signature colour) but another thing that stood out to me in Decoy was the colour pallet that Annette uses. I'm always drawn to slightly muted colours because they tend to read better in a CGI. The designs at Decoy are coloured with perfect slightly muted tones without slipping into being dull or greyish.

I teamed the Hot Addiction Dress (great name, even better dress) with the Serendipity Shirt (shown in Golden Tan, Light Green and Orange) to give the fun little dress a little more skin-coverage. I was very pleased to see that at least two layer options are available with Decoy apparel and in the case of the Serendipity Shirt - all three. The texturing on this dress is beautiful and I was particularly impressed by the virtually invisible seam between upper and lower layers which is often a problem spot. I found the prim easy to fit and it blends very well with the pants layer.

Meet Stanley!

Ahoy hoy!

This is Stanley Bagley. I met him at the Hysteria sim and took pity on the poor bastard. He explained he had taken a beating after paid sex. He was robbed and stripped of all his clothing. The girls lent him a compact to cover the bruising on his face.

He seemed to appreciate Akasha and Kisten in their various states of undress, so I lent him my camera to take some pictures of the ladies. (He has yet to return it.)

Stanley took a liking to everbody there, so he wowed us all with a bit of Karaoke. He was really quite good! Poor Draven is about to swoon!

He then suprised us all when we discovered his love of pretty things. I have yet to meet a Kajira that could do silks justice like Stanley can! So you you happen across my new friend, be a sport and remove an article of clothing. I can guarantee we will be seeing more of Stanley soon. Haha!

The delightful Toast Bard has put some Halloween skins up for sale. I present to you Head Off. It comes with the skin, eyes, bloody jacket layers and this wonderful attachment that makes your head well, off! She has a great witch and a freezing skin, too! I got mine at (fd) at Cotton Candy. Lastly here I am wearing SPIRIT Heroes Claire Cheerleader Battle Bloodied Uniform. I do not watch the show Heroes, and I have absolutely NO idea who Claire is, however this outfit is torn, and has some blood on it. So it's just fine by me! So much going on at Halloween, it required a part 2. Fun, huh?

My babysitter Methanne was kind enough to model this fantastic accessory called Blood IV. One would natrually assume that one such as myself would make the best use of a Blood IV, however I took pity upon this poor, pathetic obviously drug riddled creature and decided she would benefit from a bit of mine. This brilliant bit of prims was lovingly crafted by the wonderful Askasha Wachmann and available at Catnip. She and her friend Kisten Bailey created a fun shopping experience here at Hysteria.

Haha, Trick or Treat! This is what Methanne looked like AFTER eating everything from this delightful candy dispensing Fuck it! Bucket. It can be worn as evidenced by the picture below. And of course I just love the name. As quoted by the creator, this says it all: "When shit gets you down, just say 'Fuck It' and eat some motherfuckin' HALLOWEEN CANDY!" available at The Lonesome October Hallowe'en Shoppe along with GREAT Halloween avatars and other fun decorating items! Here I am looking as PRECIOUS as ever in the Broken Dollie dress by Saur Holt at Passionate Neko Dreams, combined with her just released Skeleton Strings. The dress is a lovely tattered lolita style dress, with blood. That's THREE reasons to love this dress! Wonderfully detailed, I dig this dress a bunch.

Skeleton Strings is such a great buy, because not only do you have this kick ass skeleton based marionette controller, it comes with an AO, skeleton hands grip your wrists and ankles, and the strings move with each pose on the AO. The effect is pretty damn sweet. I suggest that you go check this shit out!

Just released, her now Skeleton Princess dress (formerly known as Pumpkin Princess, no pumpkins here at ALL). It's really fluffy, with some great details. IE: Lots of bones! Bone corset, bone wings, you get the idea. And its black and red. Niiiiiiiiice. The top is a bit daring, that's why I'm hovering like a spacecraft on this wicked looking FREE broom from Little Heaven, you get a folder with 10 of these brooms, each with a different pose. Love it!

We both love the sculpty hat with the dangling spider with the big googly eyes. Awwwe.

Here is the before photo. It was considerate of her to change the skirt before she left her shack to die. The outfit includes this delightful hat, the boots and two variations of the skirt and cuffs. Not too shabby!

Sierra Skins from CAKE

Stumbelina Ophelia from Cake has wowed me in the past with her Jessica skins - those sultry eyes, strong lips and rosy cheeks make them some of the most stunning skins around at the moment. If Caliah Lyon refuses to take a skin off, you just know it's good. Luckily for us, Stumbelina has unleashed her skin making talent once again to bring us a new range of skins, Sierra. The look is waif / gamine inspired, with freckles on the face and shoulders. While these skins will definitely appeal to those who are already a fan of the Jessica range, their natural yet slightly imperfect prettiness will also be attractive to those who look for something a little different in a skin. These are skins with character.

I was particularly excited about the freckles on this skin. While there are a number of high quality freckled skins available, most of them are either designed solely for redheads, or have just a small sprinkling of freckles across the cheeks, almost as an afterthought. The freckles on Sierra though are one of the main features of the skin, they are completely natural looking and aren't just confined to the nose and cheeks. There is also a light smattering of freckles across the forehead and on the chest, back and arms of the Sierra skin.

Sierra is available in four skintones - Cream, Ivory, Pearl and Toast - which range from milky pale to a light golden tan, but the fact that they are modifiable allows for some flexibility in tone. There is quite a varied selection of makeup available for each skintone. Sierra is only available in packs of four, which will set you back 3000L, with a facelight and four bald bases thrown in. Do the math and that makes these skins very good value for money, because you get four completely different looks in each pack, not just slight variations between makeups. All four skintones are shown below.

The eyes are a definite focus of the face; the eyeliner and shape of the eyelids create a sultry, wide-eyed appearance. The brows are very natural looking and provide a strong frame for the face without being overpowering. I find the nose to be one of the best features of the face, it's apparent that a lot of work has gone into the detail of the tip and the nostrils to give a very sweet up-turned appearance. The lips aren't quite as wide as those on the Jessica skin, and have a very nice curved shape. This combined with the detailing on the cupid's bow gives a slightly pouty appearance.

Makeup choices range from natural, to sultry, to almost avant-garde. On these skins, I find the neutral makeups to be most appealing, as combined with the freckles they offer a very fresh and natural look not seen on many other skins. But there are also vibrant lips and eyeshadows on offer, and of course Stumbelina hasn't let us down with the rosy natural looking blush, which is a relief because that is one of the most attractive features of the Jessica skins.

The body on Sierra is soft and smooth, no harsh highlights or freakish musculature in evidence here. The shading is best demonstrated on the darkest tone, Toast, shown below. The body shading becomes a little less evident on the paler skin tones, which is to be expected.

The skin is seamless and smoothly shaded. The attention to detail is obvious in the realistic shading on the front and back of the knees, elbows, ankles and feet. The shading of the collar bone and shoulder blades gives just enough definition. The work on the stomach gives a lovely curved look, and the handful of freckles dappled across it adds to the realism of the skin.

The top of the breasts is lightly dusted with freckles. The breasts are well-defined with large, natural looking nipples and well placed highlights. The detailing on the genital area is realistic, but not pornographically so. I am particularly impressed with the shading and highlighting on the buttocks.

Makeup choices vary between skintones, which will make choosing a makeup pack difficult, but take the demos home and play around with the sliders before deciding, as you can make some adjustments to skin colour. There isn't a huge amount of difference between the Cream and Ivory skintones, so if you are looking for a nice milky toned skin you will definitely be happy with either of these. The Sierra shape that is shown in Stumbelina's ads is also available for 500L - it has a delicate, waifish face that complements these skins perfectly.

Armidi - The SHOCKING Truth

Hello darlings, Swirly here with a special under-cover investigation. The grid has been abuzz with excitement about the much anticipated opening of Armidi. But rumours have been afloat as well - Swirly received literally thousands of IMs from fashion fans telling her that Armidi designers Nicole David and Lola Marquez are in fact alts of Ambyance2 Anubis and Lost Thereian of Naughty. Swirly found this a little hard to believe; after all, Nicole and Lola aren't exactly new to SL or to designing, and why on earth would the delectable Lost have a female alt called Lola??

Swirly decided to do a little investigating of her own, and what she found shocked her. You read it here first - Swirly CAN confirm that the Armidi team are in fact alts of Lost and Amby. Both Armidi and Naughty hairs use the same prims. Yes darlings, Swirly used her advanced building skills to closely examine hair from both stores and found that each design contained a TORUS. That's the prim that tastes like a donut, for you less informed folk. Anyway darlings, here is the photographic proof.

What makes this deception even more shocking is that Armidi uses EXACTLY the same hair colours as Naughty. Based on this evidence, Swirly is sure you will agree that Nicole and Lola = Amby and Lost. Absolutely shocking, but true.

Here comes Halloween!

Ahoy hoy!

October is the BEST time of the year, well for me anyway. And it's the perfect time to check out what Halloween goodies are out there, so our first visit would have to be Sleepy Hollow, home of Grim Babies. YAY!

This nifty wearable is a freebie! It's called the Bloody Body Chandelier. With bloody hands and toes. Can't beat that with a stick. No!

And then we had a peek over at Grim Dolls and I present to you, (sigh) me in 1.) white 2.) some sort of hybrid BUNNY costume. Grim loves it. It has a fluffy skirt, so it's somewhat tolerable. It's called Paper Bunny. Ha!

I like this one oh so very much. Paper Spider! Hardly any white here, and it has a spider web! A really big one! You have to love the spider and web on the bodice. And it doesn't come with animal parts for the the hands and feet. Bonus!

Pop on over to Sleepy Hollow to getcher stuffs. Oh, and there is a trivia contest to win 50 000L's. Wow! Also, check out the Freddie Grim Babie. He is obviously the BEST Grim Babie available now, so you really need one!

Look, Ben from the Works made this nifty every day belt (unless you want to do really bad things then you go to Virus Company. He calls this the Gothic Skull Belt, but it has a really BIG skull and then lots of little ones so you need this. Very scary, skulls are.

Next you can walk around looking quite fierce with this baseball bat. So you can be pretend fierce, or just BE fierce and smash some horrible person right in their horrible face! So for some of you, this would be a great addition to a costume or for me, just everyday wear. ^^

Dead City. With only FIVE shirts to choose from, you can only imagine just how vile they could be! Very! Too bad Tenshi didn't have one of these for Stephanie's birthday party, she turned up the complete opposite of offensive. Granted, I could have have given her mine, but there was no way I was gunna part with the whole 50 L's I spent on this shirt!

Next up, is this brilliant skin by Lacey Mertel. This is one of the most unusual skins I have ever seen in SL. It's actually chilling. It's called puppet skin, and the pic speaks for itself.

Lastly, this is hya's vision of the Bride of Frankenstein's dress. It's really quite beautiful, and it has BLOOD on it. A very first for hya! You can pick up the wig there too, a really fine version of the bride's hair made by Calico. Like the bouquet? It's a wonderful wilted bouquet made by the lovely Fallingwater Cellardoor! These girls think of everything!

hya also created an incredible black spider web outfit to compliment a drow skin from Tête à Pied called Spider Queen. The skin is available from there also, picture not posted to make you go look!

ZsaZsa's Timeless Updo could best be described as a timeless updo. Reminiscent of those 1960's Hollywood glamour queens, it was just made for Swirly! Never fear, it still looks divine on you mere mortals. ZsaZsa has as always generously included several colours in the pack, and Swirly is wearing Yellow. No, not blonde darlings, YELLOW.

Splash is a sleek and sophisticated style which surprisingly, has nothing to do with swimming pools or the beach. It comes in all of the natural colours a girl could desire - blue, green, purple and platinum. Just divine!

The most exciting of ZsaZsa's new releases is her Halloween Ensemble. Now while Halloween may be an unknown event outside of Second Life (Swirly had certainly never heard of it before), there is just no excuse for not celebrating this special occasion. ZsaZsa's ensemble will transform you into the sexiest pumpkin known to man, and it includes the hair, which incidentally has a little carved pumpkin face on the back! Swirly couldn't be bothered taking a picture of it for you though darlings, so you will just have to buy the outfit yourselves to see. Swirly just loves the little pumpkin belt, and the cleavage revealing top. No need to wait for Halloween to wear this one dears, it's just perfect for all occasions!

Swirly's Guide to Colour

Drab. Dreary. BORING. These are the only words that can be used to describe the style of the two "fashionistas" shown above. In fact, it describes their personalities to a tee as well, but Swirly doesn't like to get personal, it's beneath her. Dakota Buck in her dreary dress from Savvy? and Stephanie Misfit looking bland in Casa del Shai and Last Call. Oh, they talk about "earth tones" and "neutrals", but honestly darlings, it's all rather dismal.

Swirly is here to educate her devoted readers about colours. Beige, brown, caramel, taupe and those other so called "neutrals" are NOT colours darlings; it's a common misconception that they are, but nothing could be further from the truth. They drain the colour from your face and will drive you into an early grave. These non-colours should be reserved entirely for use by librarians, government employees, and people who work in IT. Boring people.

For the rest of you, liberal use of colour IS required. Some colours you should try are orange, yellow, bright green, purple, hot pink, cherry red, leopard and peacock. There are others as well, obviously, but Swirly can't be expected to remember them ALL. Luckily for you, Swirly is here to show you how to make use of some of these colours. A picture is worth a dozen words, and requires much less effort too.

Swirly is wearing Nicky Ree's Summer Breeze in Rouge. Not only does this stunning dress feature three colours, the delightful satin fabric makes the colours positively glow! A bright dress like this demands even brighter accessories, so naturally, Swirly teamed it with the Pink Neck Hug from Masks and Feathers, and the Whisp Hat in Red from Elegance Hats. Swirly is also wearing the Spikes Eyelashes from ZsaZsa's House of Beauty, her hair is Flapper from ETD and the skin is Rita - Pale - Flapper from Gala.

This glorious gown is Evening Petals in Mango from X3D Apparel. Digit Darkes is a colour GURU darlings, and makes some of the best colours in Second Life. Swirly loves the Bird Nest Hat from Chapeau Tres Mignon, but it isn't very colourful so make sure you don't wear too many of them at once. Swirly is wearing the Feather Necklace from Yummy, which goes so well with the Green Peacock Earrings from Microphage. Swirly's skin is FruitLoops: Sweet Tarte in Medium from [miw] and her hair is the fabulous Rave in Pearl from Sirena.

Yellow is one of the best colours darlings! And it goes so well with orange. When worn together, the effect is almost acidic. Swirly just loves the Decadance Maia jacket in Yellow from Bare Rose, which can double as a rain coat. It's worn here with the Petal Pusher Shorts in Orange from Tete a Pied, and the Paper Couture Logo tights in yellow for a subtle look. Orange shoes are hard to come by, but fortunately Tete a Pied sells these marvelous Maryjanes in several colours including orange. Swirly is wearing Queen Couture's new Starry Night Earrings - they are big and adorned with diamonds which means they are perfect. Also from Queen Couture are the Aviator Frames in Gold. Swirly's hair is Wildebiene in Blonde from Bewitched, a sleek and simple style but still very nice.

The lovely Koyomi dress from Tweet uses multiple colours which really makes it a must have. It even includes the fabulous stockings and arm warmers shown above! Swirly was delighted to find more orange shoes at Nicky Ree, these are the Julia Spring Romance Shoes. Swirly loves her Bubblegum Necklace from Decollage, but was a little disappointed to discover it contains NO bubblegum at all - a very bad case of false advertising from Marcelle DeCuir! Of course, no outfit is complete without the Daddy Long Legs Eyelashes from ZsaZsa's House of Beauty - tint them orange darlings. ZsaZsa also made Swirly's fabulous hair, the Exotic Diva Wig, which comes in a pack with all the essential colours including yellow.

Swirly had SO many other colours to share with you, but decided that she really couldn't be bothered, so you will just have to make do darlings.

Ok. For those of you who have seen the movie Trainspotting, does this toilet look familiar?

Right, because I went to the Works for the sole purpose of picking this thing up. It's called Ben's Shitty Terlet. Ben was kind enough to adjust the pose on it so my ass wasn't perched on the rim, and while he was busy at work I took a look upstairs. Ben makes accessories, too. Sculpty ones! Check this out, the Pirate Belt and the Pirate Bracelet. What's nifty is the sick detail he gets with the sculpts. The rocks look like rocks, not beads. The skull and crossbones aint too shabby, either.

This belt is called the Medic, and modding this thing to fit me made both me and the baby Jesus cry.

Because the detail is just sick. This belt is pretty much entirely sculpted. That's a lot talent, people!

You can pick up all of Ben's things here at The WORKS Urban Filth. He has put together some really great urban furniture as well. If you feel the need to pester him, why not not bother his business parter, Orchid Zenovka instead? While you are there, explore the sim. Some creative new talent is there.

Lacey Mertel has been busy making skins. For those of you who have heard of Lacey, she has put some really great art out there in SL. These skins are just in time for Halloween, or for those who just like looking dead. Very dead. Nothing wrong with that!

First one here is called Beauty Queen Crime Scene. Poor dead beauty queen! I like this one ok, but I am really excited about these other two.

Broken Doll! This skin is beautifully rendered, with broken capillaries and mottled lips intact. Kudos to Lacey for not ruining this with tarty lipstick.

Ok, this one is my absolute fave called Eulogy. The muted shading on the face and lips is just perfect. It's really quite lovely.

Lacey's skins are for sale at lost property, as well as some really great art and other odds and ends she has created. Hell, even the boxes the skins came in are works of art. Thanks, Lacey!

Pop Feel

cyam Amat is a new Japanese designer who opened her store Pop Feel a few days ago. Her clothes are fresh and cute but have a sophisticated, almost European edge. I'm really excited about the work of many of the new designers from Japan, and the influence they are exerting on Second Life fashion in general. cyam's work is impressive for a new designer, and the prices are right too. This post was a little rushed, that's what I get for shopping right before the Lindens kick everyone out of the pool.

The Chidori Knit Dress (130L) is a simple woolen dress with houndstooth pattern, comfy knitted collar and contrasting red ribbed tights. The Odeka Lace Shoes are from Feather, which is located right next door to Pop Feel, and are a steal at 80L a pair.

The Retro Jacket and Black Knit (195L) continues the houndstooth theme. I will point out that the texturing on the jacket could be better, it's a little blurry, but it's otherwise a well made piece with a great flexi waist and prim cuffs and collar. I wasn't disappointed with my purchase and will definitely wear the jacket. The shoes, which as best as I could tell are called pan-bered, are also from Feather for 80L.

Retro Green Jacket Set (150L) is a shorts and jacket set. Again, a well made flexi waist and cute cuffs and collar. The shorts appear to use quite a bit of photosourcing, probably not something I would normally wear but they do look great with the jacket.

Most of the items shown above are available in other colours, and there's a fair bit more in the store as well. Pop Feel is well worth a look, and I can't wait to see more from this new designer.

Cinnamix: Punk'd Goth'd Stoopid!

Hey bitches! Its me and I have finally made my return to da' EffVee. I know, I know, you have all missed me so much. My dear fans, I have decided to bring something new to you and it is called "Cinnamix". (Cinnamix © has been copyright by Cinnamon Coffee. Any unauthorized use will result in a swift kick to da' nutz!) Cinnamix is my way of taking some of the best things in Second Life fashion, mixing them up and spewing them into a beautiful vomit creation, like when you stir up Fruity Pebbles, Moutain Dew and Velvetta Cheese.

If you're like me, you have herpies... but also you tend to mix and match your outfit together. Combining various items into what you and I call style. Many of what you call "sluts" tend to do this, but it may only be panties and a tattoo but thats not a complaint. Heck, I hope it starts a fashion revolution! Viva NO CLOTHES in Second Life!

This first Cinnamix is based on all those Goth wannabe whores, damn I love em so much. All with too many daddy issues and just beggin' for some luvin'. Good thing Dr. Coffee gives them a shoulder or lap to cry on. This is also the perfect little outfit to get ready for the upcoming spooky and evil holiday that isn't that far away. Yes, I am speaking of Thanksgiving.

I get the heebie jeebies just thinking about all the poor turkey's that run around beheaded. Those damn pilgrims took my land and raped and pillaged stuff. I honestly don't know what pillaged means, but it just sounds naughty. Yes, I am 1/68th Native American. My Indian name is "One Who Spreads Eagle". First we have a great vest from Refuge, even comes with flexi prim ties for the back. With a little tug for quick release. Oopsie, the girls got out ;)

Keeping it back to the basic black and white, typically of most goth children. Keeping it evilish, you got great Skull Armwarmers from Canimal. Her stuff is always great to mix, even if it is just her selection of clothes. Continuing with the skull theme, you got a great little Skull Purse from Artilleri. Das Boots are also from Shiny Things... Great for matching up with a number of different outfits... or just walking around in your panties and tattoos. Yes, VIVA REVOLUTION!

Rounding the rest of the mix up we have this little skirt part of Caliente Express's Rosa Outfit and Mischief's Insubordinate Outfit set with these great striped stockings. And thats how you Cinnamix! Remember ladies, be careful on what you wear and how you do it. Jewelry Expo Picks

Jewelry Expo is here at last. So much gorgeous jewelry, and so little...... cash. My picks are therefore very much limited by my budget. I was drooling over everything in the Lassitude and Ennui stand but alas, had to leave empty handed. Somehow I think I will be going back though.

Fortunately, there are lots of great freebies - Alienbear, Cailyn's, Caroline's Jewelry and Amaretto are just a few of the stands I can think of offhand that are worth a visit for the freebies alone. Elusyve Jewell has highlighted a few of the best freebies on the FTH inc blog.

Congratulations to Miriel and everyone who has worked so hard to make this a successful event. Compared to other events of a similar scale, the lag was minimal.

All of the releases at Paper Couture's stall are exclusive to the Expo. This is the stunning Antique Pearl Choker set, and there a quite a few impressive rings too.

From boing fromage, the Lady Cameo set. Affordably priced, the set comes with gold and silver cameos and in two styles.

From Illusions, the "Gothica" Earrings and Necklace in Tarnished / Cherry Amber. Siyu Suen is a freaking genius, and I defy you to walk away from her stall empty handed (well the freebie on offer there will prevent that anyway!).

Also from Illusions, the Sacred Heart Set in Sterling (worn with the matching Goth Cowboy Hat which I LOVE)

Everyone is raving about the Chatelaine Shoulder Brooch and Chain from Muse, and rightly so. This is quite possibly Caliah's best work yet.

Bossa Nova is BACK!

The highly anticipated reopening of Bossa Nova is now a reality, and Moire has moved to larger premises and given us some lovely new releases. The new store in the Amour sim has a clean look and is a dream to browse. Getting there the minute it opened meant that I was the first person to purchase Moire's new limited edition \o/. Now that's quite an achievement for an Aussie who is very rarely online for any of the big events or openings, and usually wakes up in the morning to find it's all over and everything is gone :)

On to the new releases. I was drooling over the Norma outfit the minute Moire posted a preview of it on her Flickr. This is a very sophisticated retro silk dress, complete with veiled hat and gloves. Moire says it's inspired by film noir and it definitely has that feel to it. Beautifully textured, this just oozes class and old fashion glamour. Each dress comes with 2 options for the shirt - belted or softly draped.

I was pretty excited about the release of a Bossa Nova Limited Edition. Insensatez is something of a surprise package - although it's priced at 1500L it IS actually worth it. The dress has a romantic feel whilst remaining completely sophisticated, and includes an intricate floral choker and matching earrings. The value for money part comes in when you realise that this is actually 12 dresses - the dress comes in four colour combinations (black, white, black/white and white/black) with 3 different skirts for each outfit. Only 50 will be sold.

The last release, Francoise, is sweet and romantic, with delicate lace features and gloves. It comes in four pastel colours. I am wearing the freebie group release below, which was distributed to the bossa nova group and FashCon. Moire has always been extremely generous in releasing freebies to her group members, most of them exclusive colour options of items that she sells in store. This is one update group I would really recommend that you join.

D-skin

D-skin by Japanese designer DynamiteTanaka Payne has been around for a few months now, and features extremely pretty, "semi-realistic" skins and a unique business model. The quality of the skins on offer could easily see D-skin competing with a lot of the bigger names.

When you walk into the store you will see a selection of (currently) 8 skins, which at first appear to be sold as singles. Hence my initial gasp at the 2K price tag. But each skin comes with a selection of makeup options, a shape and a face light. It's a similar set up to RaC and Insolence in that each skin represents a unique character, so there's no choosing between different skintones here. And those of you looking for uber-tanned or ebony skins can stop reading right now - there aren't any on offer.

I'm reviewing the D-Skin08 v1.0 here, but a lot of the selling points of this particular skin apply to the rest of the range as well. All have delicately pretty faces, minimal makeup, and smooth buttery skin. These are not skins for blingtard bimbos or wanna-be strippers - and I can say that confidently because a scantily clad avatar with breast sliders at 100, big hair and tons of bling was trying on demos while I was in the store and it just didn't work. Now that's a strong selling point in my book! But if your style leans more towards fresh and cute, or subtly sophisticated, these skins are definitely something you should be looking at.

The 6 makeup options for the D-Skin08 include 3 different eye makeup styles, with 2 shades of lipstick for each. These are very subtle variations and the overall look of the skin won't change a lot when you switch between makeups. The eye makeup is particularly impressive, it's extremely natural and the eyelashes are some of the best I have seen on a skin (to give you some idea of how good, I am not wearing prim eyelashes in the picture above). The lips are nice and glossy in neutral tones, with the shading above them giving a nice emphasis to the mouth. The blush gives a subtle rosy glow to your face, and the brows are very natural looking without being overly detailed. While it's obvious the designer has used some photosourcing for the face, he has managed to avoid all the flaws that are apparent in so many photosourced skins - the texture is perfectly smooth, and there is no ruddiness or unevenness to the skintone. The nostrils and ears are extremely well done too. After checking out the faces of these skins, I was sold, and probably wouldn't have cared if the bodies came covered in green dots.

Fortunately, I can't make any complaints in that department either. The body shading is extremely good. Overall a nice creamy tone, with soft shadows and highlights rather than harsh and overly realistic shading. I really like the shading around the breasts, which gives emphasis without appearing unnatural. The nipples are quite light and very natural looking. Trinitee Trilam has already made mention of the great neck shading on this skin and I would agree it is excellent. Other features that stood out as being particularly well done are the hands, and the back of the knees. The genital area on this skin is hairless, but fortunately there is no "open wound" effect as 'Kota would say, it's all very subtle.

The most unique aspect of the D-skin product is the Update Tool. Normally if a skin designer improves their product, you are left to buy the new version. If your D-skin is updated and improved, the new version will be sent to you when you use the update tool. I haven't had the chance to see this in action, but it's clear from the version numbers of the skins that DynamiteTanaka does update his work, with some skins up to version 1.2.

Check what's included with your skin before purchasing. While the skin I purchased came with 6 different makeup options for 2K, other skins come with different skintones or fewer makeup choices. One very pretty skin only offered 2 makeup options for the 2K price tag, but it's easy enough to see what you'll be getting as it's all in the demo. A couple of the older skins are also available for 1500L.

Worth the price tag? Hell yes, worth walking over hot coals for faces this pretty. Be prepared to spend some time choosing though, it's really hard to decide between these skins. The D-skin blog should help you out though, there's very detailed information and a ton of pics for each of the skins there.

FABULOUS Clara Slingbacks from Shiny Things

Hello darlings, Swirly here. Fallingwater Cellardoor (odd name, nice girl) from Shiny Things gave Swirly the most FABULOUS gift, her new sculpted Clara Slingbacks. Note that Swirly said gift, NOT review copy dears, there IS a difference.

The Clara Slingbacks are retro style heels made from 100% genuine crushed velvets. Normally Swirly would be quite opposed to the brutal crushing of poor innocent velvets, but sometimes fashion demands a certain degree of animal cruelty; it's just the price that must be paid for Swirly to look divine.

The shoes come in 11 delicious colours and cost 300L per pair, although obviously Swirly didn't pay for hers. Swirly thought she would show her readers how these shoes should be worn, as obviously it would be ridiculous for Swirly to merely post pictures of her feet, delectable as they are.

The Clara Slingbacks in Purple MUST be worn with red tights darlings, no arguments. These red tights are part of the Le Sophistiquette Babydoll from love.love.love's Rag Couture line. And look, Swirly is wearing the dress too! Swirly's hair was made by none other than the fabulous ZsaZsa Withnail, it's the Exotic Diva Wig in Black. Swirly is wearing the River Stone Necklace from Paper Couture, Deco Eyelashes from Cake, and of course that stunning skin is from Tete a Pied, the Vivant Modele 1 in Blush. Swirly will continue to wear this skin throughout this post so as not to confuse her poor readers.

The black Clara Slingbacks just scream "gangster moll", so Swirly simply must insist that you wear them with Kyoot's new outfit, The Last Mobstress. Doesn't this outfit look SO much better on Swirly than on those other bloggers? Of course, you MUST match it with the fabulous Fedora in Black from Simone, which magically changes size upon command! Swirly's hair is Beatle Bailey in Blond from Marlys.

Olive can be such a drab colour darlings, which is why Swirly insists that you wear your Olive Clara Slingbacks with the Le Poufe Dress in Purple from Veschi. Alla Ruff certainly knows how to make good use of colours. This outfit clearly would not be complete without the Afternoon Tea Hat in Green from Royal Blue - the steam from the kettle perfectly accents the delightful silver buttons on the shoes, and steam is a must have accessory this season as we all know. Swirly just loves her Green Peacock Earrings from Microphage, and the Short Crop in Chiffon from Aveda conceals way too much of Swirly's pretty face but is still delightful.

AVZ - Cyberpunk Meets Art

AVZ is the brainchild of Hern Worsley, who describes it as a dark cyberpunk facility catering in fashion, audio and visual. I was introduced to this store by Juliet Ceres of Bitter Thorns, who with her unique style seems to lead me to some of the most interesting designers every time I see her.

The fashion at AVZ definitely has a heavy cyberpunk influence, but these are some of the most innovative products I have seen in this genre. Hern says that she aims to create unique, high quality products, and has certainly achieved this goal, with traffic to her store being generated mainly through word of mouth from existing fans. These are definitely items that make you look twice, in an "OMG what are you wearing and where can I get it?" kind of way. AVZ carries a broad range of products that extend beyond the cyberpunk market, with items to enhance your goth, punk or neko wardrobe. Many products are highly customisable, with a range of colour and texture options, or the ability to add your own textures.

Twisted Doll is a 6 piece prim outfit featuring an intricate lace choker and marionette strings.

Oh, and nails through your boobs.........

The Survivor set is strongly post-apocalyptic in style, this is definitely fashion meets art.

This absolutely jaw dropping hair is included in the Survivor set. Not for shrinking violets.

The Mech Stilettos look AMAZING and are colour changing so you can match them to, well, anything. But maybe not that nice dress you just got from Last Call. Worn here with the Punctured Bracers, which ARE literally punctured, as in you can see right through your arm. The Sidebag features a texture changing panel which you can customise with your own textures, just click to cycle through them. And the Tora Horns come with or without ribbons ....... I'm a girly girl so I've gone with the ribbons. The latex catsuit is from KDC of course.

Perhaps the cleverest item at AVZ is the TV Goggles, but still pictures don't do them justice I'm afraid. These come with 2 different sizes included, with one pair set up ready for you to wear, and another to which you add your own pictures. The pictures cycle but are interspersed with static for a great flickering screen effect.

I'm wearing the TV Goggles with Hern's amazing Parallel hair, complete with steel rods and little horns for that industrial but evil look.

Ahoy hoy!

Friends of friends are great! Because then they become -your- friends and sometimes they make really neat shit. Case in point, what I am wearing here. A heads up to really small avies, I had to mod the hell out of these, (which means I like them THAT much) but her new belts will include a version for us little folks. Thanks, Kisten!

We start off with my personal favorite, the Arsonist. The damn thing is loaded for a day (or night) of fun, with dynamite, lighter fluid, matches and molotav cocktails, ready made! I feel pretty good about this belt, as it feeds my destructive tendencies.

Next up we have the Gambler, we gotcher die, loaded deck, chips, and smokes!

Lastly, we have the Thief. This one is loaded with so much shit, I had to take TWO pictures.

See? No bullshit.

And if those weren't enough Kisten's friend, Ashaka Wachman felt the need to contribute to the collection with this FANTASTIC entry called Cookies and Rape. Akasha should make you nervous people, because she has this well planned out. She even includes the beginnings of her own personal list.

Hair from Philotic Energy and Disembodied Hand

A couple of smaller designers releasing some great hair, Aemilia Case of Philotic Energy, and Disembodied Hand of The Foot Inc and Steam-Powered Industries.

Aemilia Case is known for her prim perfect, superbly textured accessories, and as a shape maker for Lemon. She's been making hair for a while now and has quite an impressive range of styles on offer at her main Philotic Energy store. Here's a few of my favourites.

Ariadne - unfortunately only available in black, I love the feathered bangs which frame the face.

Fen has a decidedly mod feel and is available in 6 colours.

Madelene II features a colour changing hat. There's also a hatless version available.

Disembodied Hand is well known for his steam-punk inspired accessories, but I wasn't even aware he made hair until one of his designs refused to detach itself from Haver Cole's head due to it's incredible cuteness. That's the Kurly Hair shown below, which is definitely one of the sweetest styles I've seen in a while.

The Conductor has a heavy steam-punk influence, and comes with 2 versions - the hat on its own, and with hair.

Allow me to preface this review by stating how awkward I felt when a very good friend of mine wanted me to check out his new line of clothing. This guy is studying art in the waking world, and he is no slouch, but either way I was nervous about what he was going to show me. I mean after all, someone you spend a lot of time raiding, killing and just being plain horrible with, you get to be tight in the ways of online friendship. If it sucked what could I do? But boy howdy! I LOVE THIS SHIT! He figured I would, and I am more than pleased to show it off to ya right now.

The line is called Clobber (heh) and the first offering is the Vietnam Tiger Camo Trousers. They look sweet, and he just included these Tiger Camo Pockets and straps! And for all you undersized freaks like myself, he had the sheer gall to include a small set. Im wearing them with the Bloody Knit with blood and holes wifebeater, and the Rust Dirty Gloves.

Sergei just started, so the offering while small, is still great looking and worth having. WTF he just passed me more crap, so he is a busy boy. His shop is currently located at the wonderful Missing Mile sim, owned by one of the most creative people in SL, Loch Newchurch. So go buy all of Sergei's shit then have a look around!

And looky here, some sweet new pants at Draconic Kiss called Cherry. They come with a sexy top but I'm not wearing it because that would be broadly offensive. I love the cherry applique. It makes me feel colorful!

And this would be her latest lolly, called Usagi. It comes in vast assortment of colors, but pink on me is just obscene. So you get to stare at me in the black version. Not suprisingly, it looks great with the full prim sleeves, and lots of pretty ribbons. Go visit her in Koreshan. The wig I am wearing is just wonderful. It's called Zoe and I nabbed it at Darkstar Designs

Ok, check out this wonderfully fucked up marionette accessory called Under the Influence. Pair it up with a wonderfully fucked up AO, pose next to bloated 70's Elvis in a crackhouse and it makes for magical picture taking. Get yours at Syndicate.

New Review Copies Policy

After discussion with the other bloggers, we have decided to implement a "no review copies" policy on Fashion Victim.

There are several reasons for this. With so many new fashion blogs appearing on the scene, those of you who follow the feed on Fashion World of SL may have noticed that MANY blogs are featuring the same content. This doesn't make for interesting reading, and I personally don't believe that saturation level promotion of new items actually benefits designers. Sure, you want people to see your stuff, but is it really beneficial to your business to have your new design featured so heavily on every single fashion blog that people get sick of the sight of it? I know I am not alone in thinking that the fashion blogging scene has become a little boring lately - and in saying that I do not mean to disparage any of the bloggers who work so hard to keep their readers updated on new fashions.

There are some well established blogs that are dedicated to providing updates on new releases, and these blogs combined with the New Products section of the official forums do a more than adequate job of keeping shoppers informed about most new products. Fashion Victim was never intended to be solely a new release blog, and our aim was never to compete with the blogs who already do this job so well.

Review copies place an enormous amount of pressure on bloggers to feature items. We haven't been blogging items if they are already featured on other blogs, and due to busy real life schedules there is a lot of other stuff we just haven't had time to review. This then leads to a feeling of guilt because the designer has taken the time to send their items, but we never feature them here. I worry that feelings may be hurt, or that designers may think we are taking advantage of our role as bloggers just to get free items. Swirly Cyclone in particular has received MANY review copies, but with her preference for "special feature" type posts, she finds it difficult to review a lot of what she receives. That, and she is notoriously lazy....... Other bloggers here post so infrequently that I have almost forgotten their names.

So, thank you to all of you who have shown such an interest in our blog that you have sent us items to review. We do apologise if you feel we have let you down by not featuring your stuff here. No doubt Swirly will continue to feature review copies she already has in her inventory in future posts here. We will continue the occasional practice of requesting review copies, but only if we have a commitment to blog them in a prompt manner, and cannot afford to purchase the items at the time. But generally speaking, if we love your stuff and want to wear it, there is no reason why we shouldn't buy it.

A little change of pace here today, accessories to unleash your inner demon from PANDeMIC by Elizabeth Ivory. A relatively new designer, Elizabeth's store is home to a small range of products which are big on originality and quality. These range from demon horns, tails and hooves, to warrior helmets, pony tails and, er....... butt plugs. Something for everyone.

As tempted as I was to blog about butt plugs, I've decided to preserve my modesty and focus on the demon accessories in this post. While these are specialty items that may at first glance seem designed solely for those looking to enhance their demon avatar, I believe the creativity and uniqueness of Elizabeth's designs lends these to a much broader audience - think demonic aesthetics with a twist of mythological and cyberpunk influence.

The Logokron War Horns V.IIX [darkened] feature glossy entwined bones wrapped with steel rings and flexible fabric, which has a nice worn texture.

The design of the Logokron tail V.I is incredible. Organic curves and spikes accented with metal rings and fabric wraps. I would love to see a scripted version of this. The tail comes with 2 versions for stomach and pelvis attachment points, which is pretty convenient.

The Logokron Hooves V.V are just one of several designs available. These are mod so you can tint them to match the rest of your avatar (or outfit). Notice the metallic details and spikes at the base.

The price of some of these items is the only thing that might put the casual buyer off purchasing them - the horns are 560L and hooves 800L. But the high quality and originality of the designs is to be commended, and with these items catering to a niche market at least you know you won't see every second avatar you meet wearing them.

Naturals from Caroline's Jewelry

Caroline's Jewelry recently released the Natural Collection, and this is quite possibly the most delicious use of sculpties in jewelry that I have seen so far. Luminous tones and organic shapes - the design is simple but the prim work is perfect. The fluid lines of the necklace definitely give this set a real life feel. This particular set is available in three colours - I couldn't go past the warm natural tones of the brown set, but ended up going back for the brighter green and blue sets as well. Fabulous Sculptures from TESLA

Hello darlings, Swirly here. Dear little Tesla Miles is a miller of some reknown in Second Life. For those of you who lack a little something in the vocabulary department, a miller is someone who makes hats. Look it up darlings, learn something for a change. Tesla has a modest store which she has creatively named TESLA. All of Tesla's hats are made from sculpted prims - yes my lovelies, they are created with CLAY, not that horrid plywood. Her fabulous hat sculptures have been featured on Fashion Victim before, but the blogger concerned hardly did them justice. Really darlings, these things should be left to Swirly.

This divine leopard skin hat is inexplicably called "Sammy". Despite being sculpted entirely from clay and lovingly baked in a kiln, it's light as a feather! And just look at those fabulous shoes darlings. LOOK AT THEM! Those are Tesla's new Jane shoes which are available in a multitude of colours, but Swirly chose leopard because it's her favourite colour, and she didn't have enough lindens to buy the other colours. These have adjustable ankle straps, which is very fortunate because Swirly has tankles. Tankles are sexy curvaceous ankles in case you didn't know dears. The clay shoes and hat look marvelous when teamed with the Miss Gregorio set from artilleri. And doesn't Swirly look SO much better than all those other fashionistas in the new Tete a Pied Vivant skin? That's Kyoko 1 in Almond for those of you who want to try to emulate Swirly's unique style and fail miserably.

The Tesla Rose Cocktail Hat is slightly reminiscent of some kind of flower. Swirly was AMAZED that she could pole dance while wearing it and it didn't fall off her head - a true testament to Tesla's talent. Swirly is also wearing the Adrianne Set from artilleri and Maitreya's very sexy Enchant shoes in the colour "Squiggle" which are sculptures too! Her jewelry is the Love and Lipstick Set by future husband Lucas Lameth of EARTHTONES Boutique and that utterly divine skin is Rita - Flapper from Gala Skins.

Hello, hello to all my knocked up hookers. I seriously just cannot get enough of Artilleri! As a knocked up woman who has the unfortunate task of carrying this burden, I'm glad there is at least decent clothing for us. Antonia Marat has once again gone out of her way to make the best Maternity Wear in all of Second Life. I don't understand why when I go to the bar to drink a couple of beers ( for my burden and I ) there is always some knocked up whore at the other end of the bar, wearing fugtastic clothes. Not cute maternity clothes from Artilleri, but fugtastic clothes from stores that need not be named. Anyways, Antonia has released a bunch of new stuff for us poor souls who have to deal with these little things some people call babies. Enjoy! :D

Hello! It's been awhile and I know you knocked up hookers feel I've abandoned you and left you to dress horribly. I'm almost sorry! Well, unfortunately, I am on a budget so instead of purchasing all the new maternity wear from artilleri, I could only afford to buy the most perfect maternity dress my hooker eyes have seen. ( My hubby is mad at me because I refuse to get down on all fours like some dog so he's not giving me any money! I have to work for myself! Can you actually believe that!? ) Anyways, this dress is just perfect for me, and may look decent on you as well.

Taking a Fresh Look at Bare Rose

Bare Rose was one of my favourite haunts as a newbie - the clothes were affordable and if you spent a little time in the store you were almost guaranteed to win a free outfit from the raffle ball. I've always associated the store with particular clothing genres - predominantly gothic, cosplay, fetish and Japanese styles - so it had been a little while since I dropped by. Until I saw this blog post with an absolutely amazing jacket I just HAD to have........ and I must admit I was surprised to see it came from Bare Rose. I knew that Bare Rose had a couture range for formal wear, but arriving at the main store I saw that June Dion has branched out into a broader range of styles there too, which is excellent news given the extreme affordability of her products. There isn't much there that will set you back more than around 130L, which is pretty rare for clothing of this quality.

The Maia outfit includes this jacket in white, brown and black. The outfit includes shorts and stockings, but I've teamed the black jacket with the pants from the Jersey Girl outfit from Veschi and the Enchant Shoes in Black from Maitreya.

The Angela outfit features the most gorgeous Victorian style blouse with flexi lace ruffles and bows. The blouse has a delicate lace inset and there are several colour options for the lace. The blouse is shown here with the Milena skirt from Last Call and Bloom Boots in Black from Maitreya.

The Blenda Dress comes with 4 colour options and features a flexi skirt with sash. But it's worth buying for the blouse alone - delicate sheer fabric with a soft sheen, highlighted by a very realistic looking sculpted collar and cuffs; this will look great with anything. It's shown here with the Frisky Sculpted Wedges in Salmon from Maitreya.

Well, just a little color. Ahoy hoy!

Look at my ears! Earmuffs! Kitty ones. I'm feeling pretty good that these weren't real kitties once upon a time, but they look realllllllllllly good! They come with a stupid easy to use HUD, just wear it. I mean, I tried attaching it different HUD spots, but it never showed up. Lilo tells me to just wear it. I really need to learn to listen. You have several color choices , my preferred being black. Quelle suprise!

Then there is red. I don't recall ever having been so colorful before. Of course you have more choices, but please! I take really horrible pictures, so let me assure you these are as cute as can be!

Here is my favorite. Kitty backpack! Same color changing HUD, the pack is mod too so I could play with the straps. I love it in black best. Why do I even say it. We ALL know I love black best!

Ok, this might be confusing to many, myself especially. I really like this dress. I know it shows of my arms and I'm not swathed in layers if ruffles, but it's still a really cute and well made dress.

Here are her silk pants in metal. I love the jagged bottoms, and the mary janes look cute with em, too! Im not wearing the prim belt and cuffs that come with them, because I'm the size of a gnat. So I guess you need to go to her store and check em out for the full effect. Heh!

On Parade with the Kyoot Army

We've seen a lot of exciting things from Saeya Nyanda in the past; but now, the incredibly creative inventor of the Photosphere, has moved Kyoot Army to a new mainstore in the Vakkert Gal sim. This move coincides with the release of Ms Nyanda's first clothing line.

The store build is stunning and almost feels like a black ink drawing with splashes of red. The apparel itself is visually stunning; Saeya's extensive PhotoShop experience combined with her mind-blowing creativity definately makes Kyoot Army a store to watch for the SL couture-style clothing scene.

The Kyoot Army store has plenty of spaces to sit and cam shop while admiring the surroundings. Here I've combined the Snake Charmer Skirt (a cute flexi mini skirt with a modifiable glitch-pant layer included on the pants and underpants layers) with the Wilted Wednesday Vest. The collar on this top has finely detailed prim-work and the clothing layer offers covered and uncovered nipple options. I chose the uncovered as I like to be prepared to nurse someone in an emergency situation.
The Snake Charmer Top, although bearing the same name as the skirt, is sold separately and not designed to be worn as a set. The sleeves are very well-made prim puffs and again the top is provided on several layers for maximum mix-and-match options. The infected wounds I'm wearing are also the work of Ms Nyanda - no, she did not personally damage me but she has created these scars and bruises on underwear layers so if you say... get hit by a car - you can easily accessorize your avatar to match.

This floaty vintage lace dress is named after our own Swirly Cyclone features a high prim collar and plunging neckline - both of which are very Swirly. Included in the outfit is a jacket layer belt (note: clothing layer belts require no fitting and thus have my vote) that looks cute when worn with a simple denim skirt or anything else where you have the jacket layer free.

I spent a lot of time admiring the store-art with Ms Nyanda herself. I'm modeling the Straight Jacket Surrealist dress that includes a dramatic sculpty prim skirt, collar and single sleeve puff.

Coming Soon - Yet another "Couture" rip-off

Yes, we are all sick of it. Designers jumping on the "couture" bandwagon in the hope of making an easy buck. Ripping designs straight from the catwalk, ripping designs from other Second Life designers, cashing in on the success of the big names. Now you can add Truth Hawks to list of designer scum trying to make it big by stealing real life designs and imitating more well known, successful SL artists. Introducing "Hobo Couture". Now with a name like that, you just KNOW he is trying to steal traffic from the Lu Sisters. And if you need more proof, just look at this first outfit "The Times". It's made from newspaper *cough cough* Paper Couture *cough*. And crumpled newspaper wristbands are just SO last season Truth.

"Moving Day" features a number of design elements ripped straight from real life catwalks. Didn't we see masking tape and number plates featured heavily in Versace's Fall 2007 collection? What an uninspired heap of garbage......... "Hobo Couture" is coming soon.

Yin of Life and Blood Lust Designs

Ahoy hoy! What stupid luck I've had this week. I was teleported by a friend to a completely unrelated shop, but luckily met Mr. Yin. For those of you who have never heard of this guy he has made and is in the process of making these avatars he calls lil' mistfits. These little avies are so amazingly well rendered and detailed, people. I did my best with the photos below, but they really don't justify his work. They are impossibly freakin' cute. The first one here he was wearing when I met him, and recall saying immediately after having seen it was I NEED THAT. Well, his name is Peanut and here he is:

Next up we have Nibbles. He is like a bunny that got lots of love and dropped in the dirt a few times. Makes me love him even more!

And finally we have Box Bot. Look at those eyes! 'Nuff said.

Mr. Yin has also created some pretty neat toys, like uh, Zombie Bunnies what eat your brain when you click em, voodoo doll plushie, other assorted weirdness which is pretty damn cool. Not to mention a ass TON of gestures, namley TOURETTES GUY! Shit, even the boxes they come in are worth a look. Well done, Mr. Yin! The shop is called Yin of Life, go have a look. Before I move on to Blood Lust, I would like to show you my new favorite wig. I picked it up today at shop seu, I will add that she doesn't have a huge amount of items in her store right now, they are damn good. hya and I both picked up this wig, and I love it. It's called mofumofuhair. It's a long style, but shit the bed if it doesn't look and move natrually. And god bless her, it even hides my ginormous forehead. This is more of a school girl style, it's two ponytails so you Gorean types won't like it! It wouldn't kill you to have a peek, so go check her out. I got mine right here! Japanese LIFE SIM

Okay! My SL pop Feri had this gal shoot me over this here Zombie Killer Backpack, and it KICKS ASS! You get two sizes, one for you big, bloated things and a nice, small one for us little people. And it's scripted to make weird noises and shit when you click on it! Personally I love the zombie arm that sticks outta it. If that isn't just the greatest thing.

Then hya sends me these blood wings. I don't really care for wings, but I like these! They are black and have bloody bandages on them. How could I not like THAT!

Ok, so now I get off my ass and go check out her shop. It's not limited to just gore, which I would perfectly fine with. I picked up this army hat. It looks really nifty and has flexi bits hanging offa it, too. Oh, and it's black. She has green too, but WTF do I look like a druid or something?

The shop owners name is Cyia, and she is very cool. Yeah sure, her shop has been around for 6 months or so, but one of the best bits of SL is there is always something you haven't seen. Go check it out! ~Blood Lust Designs~

Royal Blue - A right royal pain in the behind

Hello darlings, Swirly here. While there is no denying that Marni Grut of Royal Blue is a talented girl, her conduct leaves MUCH to be desired. Everyone knows that a review by the revered Swirly Cyclone means that you have reached the pinnacle of success as a designer, so obviously Swirly receives many hundreds of pleading IMs each day from desperate designers eager for Swirly to model their clothes. Hello dears, Swirly here. Many of you, no..... ALL of you would have been wondering where Swirly has disappeared to of late. Following her spectacular modelling debut at the Paper Couture show, the entire grid has been abuzz with rumours ......... did Swirly suffer a nervous breakdown from the stress of playing such a critical role in the debut of the PC Fall collection? Did the pressure of knowing that her performance could make or break the Lu Sisters result in Swirly spiraling into deep depression, leading to her driving recklessly whilst under the influence, getting charged for possession of a small amount of cocaine, spending time in jail before having her sentenced commuted to house arrest, then shaving her head and booking herself into an exclusive rehabilitation facility for several hours? These, and many other questions, will not be answered here darlings. Swirly is, after all, an intensely private, withdrawn and reclusive individual who never likes to air her dirty laundry in public unless it involves that CHEATING LYING BASTARD Stephen Bentham who, incidentally, is lower than a diseased sewer rat.

Anyway darlings, on to the tedious business of fashion. Swirly says tedious because as you would all be aware, the ongoing grid problems are making simple tasks such as changing one's wig result in embarrassing problems such as the sudden growth of excessive untamed pubic hair. Now there may be nothing wrong with that for all you unwashed, hairy lesbian types, but for a man-eating red blooded woman like Swirly, this is a devastating social faux pas! Would Philip Linden himself want to see Swirly baring anything other than a pristine Brazilian wax? Swirly thinks not darlings!
